Fiorentina player Terzic in car-jacking

Fiorentina defender Aleksa Terzic has reportedly been the target of a car-jacking in his native Serbia.

It was first thought that Terzic was the victim of an attempted kidnapping, however later reports by fiorentina.it state that the intent was always to steal his car.

Terzic was in Serbia to play for the U-21 side in their games against Estonia and Russia.

He was reported to be on the way to the airport to get a flight back to Florence when he was pulled over and forced to get out of the car.

Euro 2020 round-up

It was an early Fiorentina-Juventus in Belgrade, as Nikola Milenkovic and Cristiano Ronaldo were on target as Portugal beat Serbia 4-2.

The Euro 2020 qualifier makes it now very difficult for Serbia to reach the tournament, as Ukraine are top of Group B with 13 points in five games.

Portugal picked up a 3-1 victory in Serbia with William Carvalho making the most of a comical goalkeeping error, then Goncalo Guedes drilling home.

Fiorentina defender Milenkovic was given acres of space for a free header on a corner to spark the comeback.

Milinkovic: 'Happy at Lazio'

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic assures he is not disappointed by the failed Manchester United or PSG moves. “I want for nothing at Lazio.”

The midfielder had reportedly been on the verge of a €90m transfer to Old Trafford, while Paris Saint-Germain continue to pursue him, although a recent hip injury might’ve put paid to that idea.

“The injury isn’t as bad as people say. I know how long it takes to recover properly and can’t wait to be back on the field training in a few days,” Milinkovic-Savic told Serbian media Espreso.

Milinkovic-Savic to Man Utd for €75m?

La Repubblica claims Manchester United are on the verge of signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio for €75m plus bonuses.

It’s significantly lower than the €120m President Claudio Lotito claims to have rejected last season, but by his own admission, there were fewer resources to keep the Serbian this time around.

According to the online edition of the Italian newspaper, a deal is practically done for €75m plus various add-ons.

Milinkovic-Savic has also agreed a five-year contract with the Premier League giants.
