Vigorito: 'Inzaghi and Foggia our secret'

President Oreste Vigorito feels Benevento are showing they have the ‘right environment’ and says the secret is the relationship between Filippo Inzaghi and Pasquale Foggia.

Benevento picked up another away win against Cagliari, their fourth this term, and sit 10th with 21 points after 16 games.

“We are playing a different tournament. We have cherished past experience and we restarted form a record in Serie B.

“We have kept most of the players who brought us to Serie A by leading an amazing championship and that says a lot.

Vigorito ready to invest in Benevento

Benevento President Oreste Vigorito underlined the seasonal target of salvation in Serie A but is ready to invest if the right players are available.

Benevento chief Vigorito has tested negative for COVID-19

Benevento patron Oreste Vigorito, who travelled with Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis on Wednesday, has tested negative for COVID-19.

The Serie A Presidents are being tested for coronavirus after the 20-club meeting in Milan on Wednesday, as the Partenopei patron announced he had tested positive the following day.

The Streghe chief Vigorito shared a private flight with De Laurentiis for the Lega Serie A Assembly, but news agency ANSA reveals his swab test has come back negative.

Benevento President Oreste Vigorito discusses their active transfer strategy, but admits Giacomo Bonaventura ‘chose Fiorentina for reasons other than money.’

FIGC to veto Serie A freeze

The FIGC is widely expected to veto the Lega Serie A suggestion of blocking the Scudetto, relegation and promotion in case the 2019-20 season is called off early.

Benevento President Oreste Vigorito confessed he ‘can’t wait’ to celebrate promotion to Serie A with everyone involved with the club.

The Stregoni sit 20 points above second-placed Crotone in Serie B and have been fighting for the resumption of the championship and their right to play in Serie A next term.
