Olmo preferred Leipzig over Milan

Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica has revealed that Milan had a higher offer for Dani Olmo, but the move to RB Leipzig “was his own choice”.

Milan were linked with the Spanish 21-year-old and seemed close to agreeing on a deal with the former Barcelona youth.

He ended up at RB Leipzig and has already played three times in the German Bundesliga, contributing one assist in the process.

His former coach Bjelica has revealed that Milan were close to signing the Spain international, who scored on his international debut.

Reports: Rangnick full powers at Milan

Sport Expressen also now claim Milan have agreed a three-year contract for Ralf Rangnick to take over as both coach and director of sport, so could there be a mass resignation in protest?

The former Schalke 04, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig manager is currently head of sport and development at Red Bull, overseeing their various franchises around the world.

Rangnick plan for Milan?

Ralph Rangnick has reportedly alerted his collaborators about a possible move to Milan this summer and there’s ‘no room for Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban’.

The German newspaper Bild is running the story about a future role at the Rossoneri for the former RB Leipzig coach.

Milan are reportedly willing to offer the current football director at Red Bull a chance to take on a role as manager for the Rossoneri, working in the same way as an English coach would do in the Premier League.

Roma look to Klostermann

Roma are being linked with a summer move for RB Leipzig right-back Lukas Klostermann.

The Giallorossi have struggled in the right-back position this season, with Davide Santon not convincing, Leonardo Spinazzola consistently injured and Bruno Peres struggling for form.

Alessandro Florenzi was also sent on loan to Valencia after falling down the pecking order.

Calciomercato.com states that the club from the capital have been offered Leipzig’s Klostermann by a broker.

Scouts watch Gosens score

Olympique Lyonnais and RB Leipzig scouts were in the stands to watch Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens score against Torino.

The representatives from the French and German club had booked their seats at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino this evening and certainly saw what they were looking for.

Gosens scored a sensational left-foot volley from the edge of the box and that was his seventh Serie A goal of the season, his eighth in all competition.

Official: RB Leipzig sign Dani Olmo

RB Leipzig have officially completed the signing of Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb, beating Milan to the player.

The Spaniard has been constantly linked to the Rossoneri, however it was soon revealed that the Italian side wouldn’t meet Zagreb’s asking price for the midfielder.

Milan reportedly offered in the region of €24m, this figure wasn’t enough to satisfy the Croatian champions.

It’s rumoured his agents wanted an extra €10m between commission and signing-on fee.

Lazaro undergoing Newcastle medical

Inter winger Valentino Lazaro is already in England undergoing his medical for Newcastle United, for a deal worth €25m.

It had been reported last night in Italy that the clubs had reached an agreement, despite interest also from RB Leipzig.

This morning, Sky Sports UK confirm Lazaro is already in Tyneside for his tests and an announcement will come this afternoon.

Lazaro to Newastle done deal?

Everything has reportedly been set to move Valentino Lazaro from Inter to Newcastle, with the medical tests scheduled for tomorrow.

The Austrian will travel to Tyneside for his visit after struggling to establish himself at San Siro this term.

The 23-year-old had been pushing for a move to RB Leipzig, but the German league leaders weren’t convinced, and a deal has now allegedly been completed between the Magpies and Inter.

Inter are working on finding a new club for Valentino Lazaro and Newcastle are reportedly in pole, as RB Leipzig are not convinced.

Calciomercato.com reports that Lazaro would prefer a move to the Bundesliga leaders, but claim Leipzig - who picked up Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb - are not completely persuaded.

Newcastle are ready to present their offer to the player and the former Hertha Berlin full-back’s agent Max Hagmayr could travel to England for the second time this week.

Report: Leipzig get Dani Olmo

RB Leipzig have reportedly closed a deal with Dinamo Zagreb on €20m plus bonuses for Dani Olmo, formally ending the Milan link with the player.

Milan pulled away from a deal after having to pay an extra €10m in agent commission and sign-on-fee for the player, on top of a deal worth €25m for the Croatian club.

Now Nicolò Schira has revealed that the Spain international has signed a contract until 2024 on a deal worth €3m a year.
