Milan: Fabregas in, Calhanoglu out

Milan are asking Chelsea to halve the €8m price-tag for Cesc Fabregas and can fund the move with Hakan Calhanoglu’s exit, it’s reported.

The interest in Fabregas is no secret, with director Leonardo confirming to Sky Sport Italia this week they were “evaluating” the situation.

His contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he rarely gets playing time in the Premier League under Maurizio Sarri.

Nonetheless, Chelsea are demanding €8m to release the Spanish veteran in January.

Milan could sell Calhanoglu

Reports suggest Milan could sell Hakan Calhanoglu in January, with RB Leipzig and Schalke 04 interested, but he’d cost at least €15m.

The midfielder has been in poor form this season, with his goal against Dudelange last night his first of the season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, unless the Turkish international has a significantly improved December the Rossoneri would be open to selling him.

There is interest from Germany, with RB Leipzig believed to be particularly interested and Schalke having qualified for the Champions League Last 16.

Milan exit for Calhanoglu?

Tuttosport claim Hakan Calhanoglu could leave Milan in January for a transfer to RB Leipzig or Eintracht Frankfurt, making way for Lucas Paqueta.

The Rossoneri have already signed Paqueta from Flamengo, paying €35m plus bonuses for the trequartista.

With the change of tactics away from the 4-3-3 system, Calhanoglu is increasingly pushed out of the line-up by Coach Gennaro Gattuso.

Schalke unsure on Joao Mario

Inter outcast Joao Mario is leaning towards the Bundesliga, with interest from Schalke 04 dependant on Sebastian Rudy.

According to Spox.com in Germany, Schalke would only be prepared to make a bid for the Portugal international if first choice Rudy fell through.

Bayern Munich midfielder Rudy is so far undecided between Schalke and RB Leipzig.

Only if Rudy opted for Leipzig would Schalke 04 then make a firm offer for Joao Mario.

Forsberg claims Roma interest

RB Leipzig and Sweden winger Emil Forsberg admits he is ‘flattered’ by interest from Roma.

Calciomercato.com reports Forsberg fits Roma’s profile of a ‘quality winger’, the Swede having played a key role in his country’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals earlier in the summer.

“Roma want me? I’m flattered by the interest of the clubs who want me. I’m aware of it,” he told Bild.

“For the moment, however, I’m only focused on Leipzig.”

Roma consider Forsberg

Roma are reportedly considering a move for RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg, after his impressive displays for Sweden at the World Cup.

It has already been a busy summer for the Giallorossi, with the likes of Javier Pastore, Justin Kluivert, Ante Coric and Bryan Cristante arriving at Trigoria.

It’s now likely that they will make some further sales, but SportItalia believes they aren’t finished on the incoming transfer market.

The Lupi are said to be looking at Forsberg, who wants to leave RB Leipzig this summer.

Roma want Forsberg

Roma are interested in Emil Forsberg, reports suggest, but RB Leipzig would demand at least €30m to sell him.

The Giallorossi are expected to complete a deal for Javier Pastore today, with the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder to replace the Inter-bound Radja Nainggolan.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport though, the Lupi aren’t done there and sporting director Monchi is keen to sign Forsberg.

The Swedish international would cost at least €30m plus bonuses, making a deal difficult, but it’s still possible a deal could be found.
