Kolarov to renew with Roma?

Aleksandar Kolarov’s agent is reportedly in talks with Roma over a new contract for the left-back.

Kolarov’s current deal expires at the end of the season, but Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira writes an renewal seems to be on the horizon.

That is because, as per the journalist, his representative Sergio Berti recently spoke to Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi about extending until 2021.

The proposal would also include the option of a further campaign.

Kolarov could extend at Roma

Roma are said to be offering Aleksandar Kolarov a new contract, which would include a future role within the club.

The left-back turns 34 next month and his current deal is due to expire at the end of this season.

He had been linked with a move to Turkey over the summer, but the player and Giallorossi turned down all offers.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, Roma are now proposing a new contract for Kolarov.

Kolarov rules out Red Star return

Roma left-back Aleksandar Kolarov has ruled out returning to Red Star Belgrade. “I intend to end my career abroad.”

Kolarov was linked with Red Star - the club where he started out - over the summer, but the 34-year-old made it clear a move back was not on the cards.

“Red Star are a great club, I played for them as a child,” he told rts.rs.

“However, I don’t have any ambitions of returning to Serbian football. I intend to end my career abroad.”

Fonseca: 'Roma could've won by six'

Paulo Fonseca felt Roma “could’ve won by five or six goals” after their 1-0 victory away to Lecce and were in complete control.

Edin Dzeko’s header on a Henrikh Mkhitaryan cross proved the only goal of the game, as Aleksandar Kolarov’s penalty was saved by Gabriel.

“It is always important to win this type of match. We put in a good performance, controlled the game and created many scoring opportunities,” the Coach told DAZN.

Roma keep pursuing Hysaj

Roma have never stopped negotiations with Napoli for Elseid Hysaj, but locked down Aleksandar Kolarov from Fenerbahce approaches.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, talks continue for Albania international Hysaj, who has made it clear he wants a new experience after four years with the Partenopei.

The asking price remains €15-20m, but options are dwindling for the 25-year-old, who had been close to Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.

Durmisi open to Fenerbahce move

There are growing reports that Lazio left-back Riza Durmisi is heading to Fenerbahce, as Aleksandar Kolarov won’t leave Roma.

The Turkish club have been targeting Kolarov for months, but despite rumours in the local media that the player wanted to join them, Italian sources have never suggested anything close to a deal.

Roma scrape 2-2 Athletic draw

Roma fought back twice for a 2-2 friendly draw with Athletic Club Bilbao, although there was a red card, Aleksandar Kolarov scorcher and cheeky Nicolò Zaniolo incident.

Icardi considering Roma and Napoli

With Juventus pursuing Romelu Lukaku, it seems Inter striker Mauro Icardi is finally open to other offers from Roma and Napoli.

The Bianconeri are on the verge of completing a deal with Manchester United, handing over Paulo Dybala in exchange for Lukaku, although the final decision rests with La Joya.
