Icardi considering Roma and Napoli

With Juventus pursuing Romelu Lukaku, it seems Inter striker Mauro Icardi is finally open to other offers from Roma and Napoli.

The Bianconeri are on the verge of completing a deal with Manchester United, handing over Paulo Dybala in exchange for Lukaku, although the final decision rests with La Joya.

Lukaku had been Inter’s first choice for the attack, but this move would also effectively rule Icardi out of joining Juventus.

Dzeko edges closer to Inter

Inter have resumed negotiations with Roma for Edin Dzeko, hoping to get the deal done for €15m, but it could include another player.

According to Sportitalia and Calciomercato.it, the two clubs have started talks again after a period of stasis, as the €20m asking price was considered excessive.

Now both clubs are taking steps towards each other, as time is dragging on and the Giallorossi need to find a replacement.

Dzeko turns up for Roma

Edin Dzeko has turned up for his Roma medical, amidst speculation linking the striker with Inter.

Roma’s non-internationals already underwent medical tests for the 2019-20 campaign last month, with Steven Nzonzi the biggest name not to attend.

However, there was no such controversy with Dzeko, who joined Antonio Mirante, Aleksandar Kolarov, Patrik Schick and Robin Olsen in reporting for medicals on Monday.

Kolarov to resist Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce are continuing to court Aleksandar Kolarov, but reports in Italy maintain he is eager to remain at Roma.

For several weeks now, rumours have been emerging from Turkey that Kolarov is the prime transfer target for Fenerbahce.

He is due to attend Giallorossi pre-season training next week, which is when a decision should be finalised, but all reports in Italy point towards him remaining at the Stadio Olimpico.

It’s suggested new Coach Paulo Fonseca rang Kolarov to reassure him that he was part of the new project.

Kolarov-Fenerbahce links grow

Turkish media claim Aleksandar Kolarov has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce, but Roma sources deny any negotiations.

The 33-year-old left-back is only under contract until June 2020 and is not believed to be part of new Coach Paulo Fonseca’s plans.

According to several Turkish media sources, including transfer expert Sercan Hamzaoglu, Kolarov has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce.

It’d be a two-year contract with option for a third, earning €2.8m per season.

Reports: Inter tell Icardi it's over

Inter have definitively pulled the plug on Mauro Icardi, will try to force him to accept a transfer, with Roma a likely destination in swaps with Edin Dzeko, Stephan El Shaarawy and Aleksandar Kolarov.

According to Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio this evening, new Coach Antonio Conte and the directors have decided Icardi will never play for the Nerazzurri again.

The striker is refusing to budge and insists he will reject any transfer, perhaps hoping to wait until his contract has expired in 2021 so he can leave as a free agent.

Euro 2020: Schick and Piatek on target

Patrik Schick bagged a brace for the Czech Republic, Krzysztof Piatek was decisive for Poland and Fabian Ruiz made his Spain debut in today’s Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Roma striker Schick struggles to find the back of the net at club level, but shows no such difficulties representing his country.

He scored both the Czech Republic goals to beat Bulgaria 2-1, although his Roma teammate Aleksandar Kolarov had a nightmare as Serbia lost 5-0 away to Andriy Shevchenko’s Ukraine.

Kolarov considers Fenerbahce

Roma full-back Aleksandar Kolarov is considering a move to Fenerbahce and prefers that destination to Inter, claim reports in Turkey.

According to Turkish transfer expert Sercan Hamzaoglu, Fenerbahce have offered Kolarov a two-year contract with option for an extra year on top and negotiations with his agent are ongoing.

Inter have also made an approach, but as they would only be prepared to give him a one-year deal with option for another season, he favours the move abroad.

Kolarov follows Dzeko to Inter?

After reportedly reaching an agreement for Edin Dzeko, Inter could follow that up by signing his Roma teammate Aleksandar Kolarov.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on the left-back who could possibly be leaving the Giallorossi in the summer, as he only has one year left on his contract.

The 33-year-old scored eight times in 33 Serie A games and is a real danger from set pieces, something Il Biscione was severely lacking this last season.
