Report: Inter agree Kolarov deal

There are reports Inter have agreed a deal worth €1m plus bonuses for Roma full-back Aleksandar Kolarov.

According to Il Tempo newspaper’s online edition, the cost of the operation has been set at just €1m plus a series of performance-related bonuses.

Roma had wanted €2m to let the 34-year-old leave and the negotiations had been around €1.5m.

However, it seems as if the Giallorossi have accepted a lower fee upfront in exchange for more in bonuses and add-ons.

Inter couldn't invest in Tonali

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has revealed the Nerazzurri are ‘currently not able to invest’ in Sandro Tonali, who seems set for a move to rivals Milan.

Reports in Italy claimed Tonali was Inter-bound for weeks, but Milan have since surpassed the Nerazzurri and although the Italy international looks set for a move to San Siro, it’s now to the Rossoneri.

Ausilio claimed Inter never entered talks with Massimo Cellino’s Brescia and can’t afford to sign the youngster right now.

Sky Sport Italia claim the player’s agent is now working out the personal terms with Inter, at which point he can then travel up to Milan for his medical on Monday.

Kolarov out, Kolasinac in for Roma?

Aleksandar Kolarov is expected to join Inter on Monday, so Roma are turning to Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac.

Numerous reports are confident the deal is done between Roma and Inter for Kolarov, who took part in possibly his final Giallorossi training session today.

The Nerazzurri are expected to pay just under €2m to get the Serbian veteran.

As for a replacement, LaRoma24.it claim an approach has been made for Arsenal defender Kolasinac.

Milan can bet it all on Tonali

Milan are absolutely determined to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali and have permission to increase the bid even more to beat Inter.

Manchester United are also said to be interested, but the 20-year-old wants to remain in Serie A this early into his career.

Tonali had a deal in place with Inter for months, a move on loan with obligation to buy for a total €35m, but the Nerazzurri suddenly pulled out.

This is because Antonio Conte prefers more experienced figures such as Arturo Vidal and Aleksandar Kolarov.

Conte tells Inter to snubs Tonali for veterans

Antonio Conte is pushing Inter towards more experienced figures like Aleksandar Kolarov, Arturo Vidal and N’Golo Kanté, letting Milan swoop for Sandro Tonali instead.

Since Conte’s crisis talks with President Steven Zhang earlier this week, the transfer strategy at San Siro has changed to better suit the views of the coach.

That means a focus on experience, leadership and more mature players rather than up-and-coming talent.

Reports: Kolarov to Inter practically done

Multiple sources claim Aleksandar Kolarov could be an Inter player this weekend, as a €2m deal with Roma is on the verge of completion.

The 34-year-old left-back emerged as the more affordable choice compared to Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, costing considerably less than the €25m asked for the Italy international.

Kolarov joined Roma from Manchester City for €5m in 2017 and is under contract until June 2021.

Kolarov wants Inter move

Roma defender Aleksandar Kolarov has reportedly said yes to Inter, who are working to close a deal with the Giallorossi.

The left-back, who turns 35 in November, has been targeted by Antonio Conte to add experience, as Chelsea are currently not lowering their asking price for Emerson Palmieri.

Multiple reports in Italy reveal the Nerazzurri have turned to Kolarov, as the Blues continue to ask for €25m for Emerson.

Conte reportedly wants Kolarov’s versatility, as the Serbian can play at the left in a back-three or at wing-back.

Roma-Inter was a lose-lose situation

A point each felt like a defeat for both Roma and Inter, writes Susy Campanale, but Antonio Conte found yet more reasons to complain.

The 2-2 draw at the Olimpico felt like a loss for both sides. Roma had been leading 2-1 and looking absolutely comfortable until Leonardo Spinazzola conceded one of the strangest penalties you are ever likely to see. Inter had originally gone in front and could certainly complain at the Aleksandar Kolarov challenge on Lautaro Martinez which sparked the equaliser on the stroke of half-time. Just as quickly as the Scudetto dream loomed back into view, it had evaporated again.
