Mancini: 'Kean-Balotelli possible'

Roberto Mancini said Moise Kean and Mario Balotelli “could certainly play together” or use the Juventus teenager as a centre-forward.

The 19-year-old was on target in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Finland, his first senior Italy start, playing as part of a trident attack with Ciro Immobile and Federico Bernardeschi.

Although Immobile did provide the assist for Kean, the Lazio striker has fired blanks in his last 10 Azzurri caps.

Didier Drogba reveals he urged Mario Balotelli to join Olympique Marseille. “I told him it’s a club that will be good for you.”

The Italy international made the move from Nice in January and has made a sensational impact, scoring five goals in seven competitive games.

“I am very happy for Balotelli, especially because we talked about it for a while before he went there,” Drogba explained to the Ligue 1 site.

Balotelli: 'Marseille just like Napoli'

Mario Balotelli said he would “like to stay at Olympique Marseille” and “the only Italian club I could play for would be Napoli.”

The Italy international has made a spectacular start to his time at the Stade Velodrome since the January transfer from Nice, scoring four goals in just six games.

“The fact of the matter is that my contract expires at the end of this season and after that, we’ll discuss it,” SuperMario told La Provence newspaper.

Garcia: 'Di Francesco axe shameful'

Rudi Garcia claims the decision to sack Eusebio Di Francesco was “shameful. Unfortunately, Roma lack patience and have a short memory.”

The Italian tactician was dismissed on Thursday following a Champions League Round of 16 exit to Porto in extra time.

“Some have a very short memory and it’s shameful to fire Di Francesco,” said Olympique Marseille Coach Garcia in his Press conference.

Balotelli livestreams goal celebration

Mario Balotelli scored a spectacular bicycle kick for Olympique Marseille, then livestreamed his celebration on Instagram.

It was quite some years ago now that Francesco Totti took a selfie in front of the Curva Sud after scoring in the Rome Derby.

SuperMario decided to take it a step further with modern technological developments.

After his stunning goal for Marseille against Saint-Etienne this evening in Ligue 1, Balo got out his phone and livestreamed the celebration on his Instagram Stories.

Garcia: 'Astori would be great Coach'

Rudi Garcia believes Davide Astori “would certainly have become a great Coach” in a future the Fiorentina captain never got to experience.

Tomorrow marks one year since the defender died in his sleep in the team hotel in Udine, so all weekend Serie A games will halt at the 13th minute to remember DA13.

“It’s still difficult for me to talk about him in the past tense, as I feel like he’s here with us,” former Roma boss Garcia told the Corriere Fiorentino newspaper.

Strootman: 'Not forced out of Roma'

Kevin Strootman insists he was “not forced out of Roma, it was my decision to try a new experience” at Olympique Marseille.

The midfielder’s sudden departure in the final days of the transfer window, with no replacement, was one of the reasons why fans turned on director Monchi and President Jim Pallotta.

“A club can force you to leave even if you don’t want to go, but that is not what happened with me,” assured Strootman in L’Equipe.

Garcia: 'Balotelli opposite of expectations'

Olympique Marseille Coach Rudi Garcia admits he “used to tell my Roma players to provoke Mario Balotelli, but he’s the opposite of what I thought.”

Garcia fought hard to bring SuperMario to Marseille from Nice in the January transfer window and so far the gamble is paying off, as he scored three goals in five games.

“Balotelli is wise now and pretty well-balanced,” said Garcia in his Press conference.

The 28-year-old joined the Ligue 1 outfit on a six-month deal and so will face the possibility of an uncertain future this summer unless an extension is agreed upon.

Having grown up in Brescia, he has revealed that although he hasn’t considered a return to Italy in recent times, he hopes to play for the club before hanging up his boots.
