Nice set Balotelli price-tag

Mario Balotelli is on the January transfer market and Nice want somewhere between €1.5-3m, with Olympique Marseille again favourites.

The striker had undergone a medical with Marseille over the summer, but when the two clubs failed to agree terms, he refused to attend pre-season training.

Balo eventually relented and joined his squad for the new season, but is yet to score a single goal and had a series of bust-ups with new Coach Patrick Vieira.

‘EDF didn’t believe in Strootman’

Kevin Strootman’s agent explains the midfielder moved to Marseille because “he no longer had the trust” of Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco.

The Dutchman was sold by the Giallorossi this summer, along with Radja Nainggolan and Alisson, prompting a backlash from fans.

“He he no longer had the trust of Di Francesco,” Kevin Lefranc told calciomercato.it.

“So we found a new project for him at Marseille. Kevin was very happy with the atmosphere and the conditions offered by the French club.”

Olympique Marseille eye Milik

According to reports in France, Olympique Marseille will make another bid for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik in January.

The Poland international has now fully recovered from two serious knee injuries, but is struggling for playing time.

This evening, Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne start together for the second game in a row.

Milik had already been approached by Marseille in the summer of 2017, but they could try again next month.

Still only 24 years old, he was signed from Ajax for €32m in August 2016.
