Perotti suffers new muscle injury

Roma are hit by another setback ahead of the resumption, as Diego Perotti joins Pau Lopez on the treatment table with a muscle injury.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Argentine winger sustained a muscle fatigue injury during training at Trigoria.

His conditions will be monitored daily but for now, the 31-year-old will have to work separately.

The setbacks continue for Perotti, who has missed 16 games this term through continuous muscle injuries and is out for the third time already in 2019-20.

Report: UEFA won't allow Zaniolo comeback

Even if Nicolò Zaniolo were to recover from injury, UEFA will reportedly not allow Roma to register the attacking midfielder for the Europa League.

Zaniolo was excluded from the list of players eligible in the UEFA tournament after suffering an injury in January and was then ruled out for the rest of the season.

But the forced break could mean the Italy international would be back in time in the event of a resumption and the recovery of football seems to be about 40 days away.

Nainggolan's destiny is at Roma

Radja Nainggolan confessed his biggest regret was leaving Roma for Inter, but Martin Mork assures there is still time to make it right at the Stadio Olimpico.

Tradition says that if you stand with your back to the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin into it, you are destined to return to that same spot in the Eternal City. Radja Nainggolan has probably closed his eyes and made that wish a thousand times since leaving Roma for Inter in the summer of 2018, but it’s not too late to fulfil that destiny after a journey of discovery.

Fonseca: 'Roma big pleasure'

Paulo Fonseca has called coaching Roma a ‘big pleasure’ but admitted that Serie A is an ‘exhausting’ experience.

Fonseca took charge of Roma last summer after three trophy-laden seasons at Shakhtar Donetsk, and he is delighted to be living the ‘dream’ in the Italian capital.

“We brought in 15 new players [12 in the summer, 3 in January], plus a new CEO [Guido Fienga], a new sporting director [Gianluca Petrachi] and me, a new coach,” he told ESPN.
