Report: Zaniolo out of Inter game

Nicolò Zaniolo is reportedly out of the Roma squad for Sunday’s encounter with his old club Inter, as he is suffering from a calf problem.

It kicks off on Sunday at 20.45 UK time (19.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Zaniolo had pain in his calf and tests showed there was a slight strain.

He will therefore not be risked and isn’t even expected to be in the squad to face Inter.

Report: Smalling to return against Inter

Roma defender Chris Smalling has returned to training and will, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, be ready for Sunday’s match against Inter.

The former England international could be back after almost two weeks out with a muscle problem in the right adductor, which he sustained in the 2-1 defeat to Napoli on July 5.

The newspaper reveals he trained with his teammates this afternoon and will be among the selected for the home game against the Nerazzurri this weekend.
