Florenzi: 'Italy solid, but entertaining too'

Alessandro Florenzi maintains Italy are ‘as solid as Euro 2016, but with more entertaining football’ ahead of their Nations League trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina.

It kicks off in Sarajevo on Wednesday at 19.45 GMT and a win would guarantee passage to the Nations League Final Four tournament.

“We’ve got to earn it, because this will not be an easy game,” warned the PSG full-back in his press conference.

Evani: 'Italy must earn Final Four spot'

Alberico Evani insists there will be very few changes from the Italy side that beat Poland, as they ‘must earn’ Nations League Final Four qualification against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

It kicks off on Wednesday at 19.45 GMT in Sarajevo, but Bosnia have already been doomed to relegation into League B.

“We know Bosnia are an excellent team, as in the last three games against them we’ve won twice and drawn the other, but they always caused us a lot of problems,” said the assistant manager in his press conference.

Bajevic: 'Waiting for more COVID tests'

Bosnia-Herzegovina coach Dusan Bajevic admits his team is decimated and could lose more players to COVID ahead of the Nations League clash with Italy.

The final Nations League match kicks off in Sarajevo on Wednesday at 19.45 GMT.

Video: Dzeko talks to family through glass window

Roma forward Edin Dzeko, in fiduciary isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, must talk to his children through a glass window.

The Bosnia international revealed he has tested positive for coronavirus and reassured fans he is totally asymptomatic and respecting the health protocol.

In quarantine, he can’t be in contact with his family and a video posted on Instagram shows the 35-year-old talking to his children separated by a closed window.

Italy familiar with Nations League opponents

Italy will face the Netherlands in their first competitive match since Euro 2008, but Nations League opponents Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland are more familiar.

The draw for the 2020-21 edition of the Nations League was made this evening in Amsterdam.

Roberto Mancini’s men were placed in League A, Group 1 with the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland.

Mancini: 'No Euro 2020 experiments'

Roberto Mancini warned his Italy squad for Euro 2020 is practically decided and there's "no time for experiments," but Mario Balotelli “will return when he deserves it.”

The Azzurri set a new all-time record of 10 consecutive victories and maintained their perfect record in training with last night’s 3-0 win away to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They can complete the set when hosting Armenia in Palermo on Monday evening.

Pjanic returns to Juve for tests

Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has been released from international duty by Bosnia and Herzegovina due to injury.

He pulled up during last night’s 3-0 Italy victory in Zenica, suffering from a muscular problem in his right adductor.

The Bosnian Federation announced this afternoon that Pjanic would be released early, as he won’t be fit to play against Liechtenstein on Monday.

He will now undergo tests with his club in Turin to ascertain the extent of the damage.
