Another new name has emerged for the Juventus bench after Maurizio Sarri was fired, with links for FC Porto coach Sergio Conceicao.

Sarri was formally dismissed this afternoon, as winning the Scudetto was not enough, considering he lost the Italian Supercup, the Coppa Italia Final and went out of the Champions League at the Round of 16.

Sousa or Rangnick for Milan bench?

Bordeaux boss Paulo Sousa has been mentioned as the alternative coach for Milan if Ralf Rangnick turns them down.

Negotiations continue with the former RB Leipzig tactician, who is currently working as a strategy co-ordinator for the various Red Bull franchises.

If Rangnick does not manage to agree personal terms or a joint project, then it looks as if Stefano Pioli still won’t keep his place.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the alternative option for the Rossoneri is current Girondins de Bordeaux boss Sousa.

DaGrosa confirms interest in Roma

Former Bordeaux owner Joe DaGrosa has confirmed his interest in buying Roma but claimed it could be ‘just one of the options considered’ by patron James Pallotta.

Dan Friedkin’s bid to purchase Roma seems to have been taken off the table and reports in Italy claimed DaGrosa was ready to pounce.

However, the 55-year-old, who bought Bordeaux in November 2018 and sold the Ligue 1 side barely 12 moths later, has also claimed the reports in Italy tend to ‘exaggerate’.

Ex-Bordeaux owner wants Roma?

American businessman and former Bordeaux owner Joseph DaGrosa is reportedly interested in buying Roma.

Dan Friedkin’s bid to purchase Roma seems to have been taken off the table, and La Repubblica is claiming DeGrosa could be about to capitalise.

The 55-year-old bought Bordeaux in November 2018 but sold the Ligue 1 side barely 12 months later.

He then showed an interest in taking over Newcastle United but lost out, seemingly to Saudi Arabia’s investment fund.

On this day: Batigol's rocket against Man Utd

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Gabriel Batistuta’s most famous goal on British shores – his 25-yard screamer against Manchester United in the 1999-00 Champions League.

Batigol had remained an elusive figure to the wider footballing public in many ways.

Despite Italian football being very popular throughout the 1990s in the UK, it wasn’t watched by everyone.

For some, the only glimpse they got of Batistuta was at USA ’94 and France ’98 with Argentina.

Di Marzio reveals that Bellanova arrives on loan for the next 18 months with an option to buy for €4.5m.
