Kaka: ‘Milan, follow Juventus’

Kaka believes his former side Milan “will rise again” - if they follow the example of Juventus.

The Brazilian midfielder was interviewed at today’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, and is the last player outside of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to win the prize.

“It’s hard to say from afar what’s wrong with Milan,” Kaka admitted, speaking to Sky.

“The Rossoneri are going through a negative cycle, but I’m sure they will rise again.

Allegri snubbed for Coach of the Year

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri has not been nominated for FIFA’s Coach of the Year award.

The Bianconeri won the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia last season, as well as reaching the Champions League final.

However, a poor start to this season appears to have undermined Allegri’s standing for the award, which is based on a calendar year, as he has not received a nomination.

‘Barça important, but not decisive’

Roma Coach Rudi Garcia insists tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Barcelona is “important, but not decisive”.

The Giallorossi are just one point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen in second place in the group, and will know how the Germans fared against BATE Borisov by the time they take the field at Camp Nou.

“Let’s see if Daniele [De Rossi] is fit, he had a perfect game in the first leg,” Garcia said in his pre-match Press conference, when asked how he intends to counter Barça’s pressing game.

“Buffon is one of the best ever,” Neymar opined in the pre-match Press conference.

“When I was little I used to play as him on the Playstation, I was a big fan of his and I’d be happy if I could score past him.

Allegri: ‘Not about stopping MSN’

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri says he’s more concentrated on his team scoring than stopping Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

“Messi-Neymar-Suarez, the talk is always ‘how do you stop them, how do you stop them’,” Allegri said in the pre-match Press conference.

‘Normal that Barça are favourites’

Gianluigi Buffon insists it’s ‘normal’ that Barcelona are favourites for the Champions League final, but Juventus are not 'lambs to the slaughter’.

The Bianconeri will face off against the Catalan giants in Berlin tomorrow night, a stadium Buffon knows very well, having won the World Cup in the Olympiastadion in 2006.

“I think, in the end, neither of us are playing at home,” Buffon reminded journalists in the pre-match Press conference.

The Blaugrana’s ‘MSN’ front-three are widely considered to be the most deadly attack in world football, but the defender - who will miss the game through injury - warns the focus can’t be entirely on that trio.

“Ultimately, Messi, Neymar and Suarez are not the only ones in the team,” Chiellini explained, speaking to UEFA’s official website.
