Younes sold in January?

Il Mattino report that Napoli winger Amin Younes will be sold in the January transfer window after failing to make an impact.

Younes has hardly played for the club since signing from Ajax two summers ago.

The German international has only made 19 appearances for the Partenopei, including three this season.

He's also been hampered by injuries, but the Napoli daily suggests that the club have decided to either send him on loan or sell outright if there is a market for the 26-year-old.

'Napoli need to help Insigne'

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti says his club have to help Lorenzo Insigne deal with responsibility as ‘too much of it isn’t good.’

Injuries and suspensions have seen Insigne play just half of Napoli’s 16 Serie A games since the turn of the year, amidst speculation the two will part at the end of the season.

“He’s a player who feels very responsible,” Ancelotti told reporters.

Ancelotti: 'Mertens and Younes will shine'

Carlo Ancelotti believes Amin Younes and Dries Mertens will play a big part in the Napoli squad next season. “He proved what he’s capable of.”

Both players were on target in today’s 2-0 victory away to Frosinone, which opened up an eight-point lead over third-place Inter.

“We had a good game, it was important to win and send a positive sign to leave behind this brief negative period. Now we aim to end the season on a high,” the Coach told DAZN.

Mertens and Younes revive Napoli

Dries Mertens curled in a marvellous free kick and Amin Younes scored a fine goal as Napoli emerged from Frosinone with a 2-0 win.

It would've been far more, but the Partenopei rattled the frame of the goal three times - twice with Jose Callejon.

The result puts them eight points clear of third-placed Inter and Frosinone could be relegated on Monday if Udinese beat Atalanta.
