Dalot: 'Ibra's experience is vital'

Milan defender Diogo Dalot highlighted the ‘essential experience’ of Zlatan Ibrahimovic but claimed the whole group ‘share’ the Scudetto dream.

The Diavolo started 2021 with a 2-0 win against Benevento on Sunday and continue to lead the way in Serie A.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke about his Scudetto dream and Dalot said the Swede is used as ‘a reference’ in the dressing room, but stressed the whole team share the same target.

Milan: Kjaer returns against Benevento?

After the short winter break, Milan should have Simon Kjaer back from injury and Franck Kessie returns in the middle against Benevento.

Tuttosport reports the Danish defender returned to training after a month out with a muscle problem and could be called up for the match against Benevento on January 3.

Kessie should return to the midfield as well, after having sat out against Lazio due to a one-match ban.

Theo Hernandez, however, has been stopped by the Sports Judge for his fifth yellow card and Diogo Dalot is expected to take his place at left-back.

Milan want to sign Dalot on a permanent deal

According to reports in Italy, Milan want to make Diogo Dalot’s loan move from Manchester United permanent.

The Portuguese right-back joined the Rossoneri on a dry loan deal in the summer transfer window.

The deal, however, came with a gentleman agreement that would allow the Rossoneri to discuss the player’s permanent move during the season.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan want to begin transfer talks to sign the 21-year-old permanently.

Sky: Dalot set to start against Genoa

According to Sky Sport, Stefano Pioli will rest Davide Calabria against Genoa this evening with Diogo Dalot who will start his first game in Serie A this season.

The Portuguese right-back joined the Rossoneri on a free loan deal from Manchester United in the summer.

He started each one of Milan’s six Europa League game in the group stage, managing only two appearances in Serie A, none of them as a starter.

The Manchester United loanee will start his first Serie A game this season against Genoa at the Stadio Marassi this evening.

Milan’s January transfer priority revealed

Milan are reportedly in no rush to discuss Diogo Dalot and Brahim Diaz’s permanent moves as the Rossoneri’s priority in January is to sign a new centre-back.

Both the Portuguese defender and the Spanish attacking midfielder joined the Rossoneri in a dry loan deal in the summer transfer window.

The agreements with Manchester United and Real Madrid came with the promise to discuss the players' possible permanent moves in the 2021-22 campaign.

Manchester United loanee Diogo Dalot has claimed he is happy at Milan: ‘Everyone is helping me.’

The Portuguese full-back joined the Rossoneri in a dry loan from Manchester United last summer.

“For me these have been a few mantastic months in terms of adaptation. Italy is similar to Portugal in terms of people, food and so on, so far it’s being perfect,” Dalot said at a press conference.

This was their first loss since March in all competition, and puts them second in the Europa League group.
