Fabian Ruiz plays down Atletico Madrid rumours

Fabian Ruiz insists he is happy at Napoli despite reports linking him with a move to Atletico Madrid.

The 24-year-old will see his contract with the Partenopei expire in June 2023.

He joined Napoli from Betis Sevilla in a €30m deal in 2018 and reports are linking him with a move to Atletico Madrid in the summer.

“I am happy at Napoli and have two years left in my contract,” the Spaniard said at a press conference while on international duty.

Liga giants go for Fabian Ruiz

Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz is targeted by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Diario Sport, via Football Espana, maintain the three biggest clubs in Spain are all chasing the international.

The two Madrid sides seem to be the favourites, although Barca are also an option.

He turns 25 next month and was signed from Real Betis for €30m in the summer of 2018.

Fabian Ruiz available for Napoli

Fabian Ruiz is available for Napoli after passing his fitness tests and recovering from COVID, but not in time to face Genoa.

The Partenopei are at Marassi this evening at 19.45 GMT.

Fabian Ruiz tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago and finally delivered two consecutive negative swabs on Thursday.

After a player has been out with the Coronavirus, he has to go through a series of fitness tests before being allowed to resume training.

Fabian Ruiz free of COVID

Napoli announced that midfielder Fabian Ruiz has tested negative for COVID-19 almost three weeks after he contracted the virus.

The Spain international was given the all-clear today after a pair of consecutive negative swabs.

He will have the traditional post-COVID medical tests tomorrow before he will be allowed to resume full training with his teammates.

Fabian Ruiz was the last Napoli player to have COVID, so now they have all made a full recovery.

Fabian Ruiz sent out an Instagram message after testing positive for COVID-19, meaning the Napoli midfielder is out of the Italian Supercup against Juventus.

The Spain international is self-isolating at home after contracting Coronavirus, so will miss tomorrow’s Serie A game with Fiorentina as well as the Supercoppa on Wednesday January 20.

Napoli announce that midfielder Fabian Ruiz has tested positive for COVID-19 and therefore misses Sunday’s match with Fiorentina and the Italian Supercup with Juventus.

Napoli willing to sell Fabian?

Napoli are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Fabian Ruiz, as his contract talks have stalled.

The Spain international, who is tied to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona until June 2023, has only started once in the last five games for the Partenopei and has struggled to contribute since he scored against Roma on November 29.

Fabian played 19 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Torino last night and Calciomercato.com reports the contract negotiations with the Azzurri have stalled.
