Nainggolan: 'Without that start...'

Radja Nainggolan felt Roma ruined their Champions League night at BATE Borisov with that bad start. “There was no complacency.”

The Giallorossi were 3-0 down within the opening half-hour, but fought back for a 3-2 result and were denied an equaliser by the crossbar.

“We had a few shots in the first half, but didn’t finish them properly. We weren’t balanced enough and they made the most of the spaces we left,” Nainggolan told Mediaset.

The Giallorossi went down twice against the surprisingly mobile Neroverdi at the Olimpico, and goals by Francesco Totti and Mohamed Salah were insufficient to earn them the three points.

“We had chances, but we must do better,” the Belgian told Mediaset at the end of the game.
