Dabo: 'I trained alone'

Bryan Dabo claimed his last months at Fiorentina was “horrible” but is determined to “focus on saving” SPAL from relegation.

The midfielder moved to Ferrara this month and has claimed he trained “alone” with a “goal” of securing a move when the transfer market reopened.

“It was a horrible story,” he said at a press conference. “I trained alone, and I had the goal of playing in January.

Official: Dabo joins SPAL

SPAL have officially signed midfielder Bryan Dabo from Fiorentina, on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

The Burkina Faso international turns 28 next month and had joined the Viola from Saint-Etienne for €3m in January 2018.

His previous clubs are Montpellier and Blackburn Rovers.

Dabo was not part of Fiorentina’s plans for this term and had not made a single appearance in 2019-20.

He leaves after 36 competitive games for the Tuscans, in which he scored two goals.

Semplici: 'Kurtic asked to be sold'

SPAL coach Leonardo Semplici states that he wants “to see a reaction” from his side following their 2-0 defeat to Verona last week, and Jasmin Kurtic asked to be sold.

The Ferrara outfit are rock bottom of the Serie A table and they travel to play Fiorentina today at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Kickoff is at 14:00 GMT. You can read the match preview here.

SPAL: Dabo in, Kurtic out

SPAL are on the verge of taking Bryan Dabo from Fiorentina and moving Jasmin Kurtic to Parma.

Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedulla reports SPAL are unable to keep Kurtic for “contractual reasons” and have found a buyer in Parma.

The 30-year-old has played for the Biancazzurri since January 2018, initially arriving on loan from Atalanta, and has made 18 appearances this season, scoring two goals. 

Replacing him will be Dabo, who conversely not kicked a competitive ball for Fiorentina so far in 2019-20.

Dabo out of Sassuolo-Fiorentina

Fiorentina confirm midfielder Bryan Dabo is out of tomorrow’s Serie A match against Sassuolo after a clash in training.

“ACF Fiorentina announce that the player Bryan Dabo will not be called up for tomorrow’s game against Sassuolo due to a heavy bruise to his right hip, sustained during yesterday’s training session,” read a statement.

Pioli: 'Not a good performance'

Stefano Pioli concedes Fiorentina “didn’t play well” even before the red card in their 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo.

The Viola have now lost two on the bounce, though notably went down to 10 men in both games against Lazio and today Sassuolo.

“We didn’t play well, especially at the start when it was still XI against XI,” confessed the Coach on Sky Sport Italia.

Official: Fiorentina sign Dabo

Fiorentina have officially announced the signing of midfielder Bryan Dabo from Saint-Étienne.

The 25-year-old has one cap for the French Under-21 side, and previously played for Montpellier, as well as having a loan spell in England with Blackburn Rovers.

“Fiorentina announces the outright signing of the player Bryan Dabo from the Association Sportive de Saint-Étienne Loire,” a statement on the Viola’s website confirms.

Dabo to Fiorentina today?

Saint-Etienne midfielder Bryan Dabo will reportedly complete his proposed transfer to Fiorentina on Monday.

According to La Nazione, Dabo will undergo a medical with Fiorentina, before putting pen to paper on a contract, having landed in Italy on Sunday.

His arrival would then allow Carlos Sanchez to leave the Artemio Franchi, the Colombian keen on more playing time elsewhere to secure his place in Colombia’s World Cup squad.

Dabo open to Fiorentina move

Saint-Etienne midfielder Bryan Dabo has reportedly given the all-clear for a transfer to Fiorentina.

The former Montpellier and Blackburn Rovers man turns 26 next month and is under contract to June 2020.

According to Sportitalia, Dabo has accepted a potential move to Fiorentina in the January window.

He has contributed two goals and an assist in 16 Ligue 1 games this season.

However, the Viola are waiting to first see if Slavia Prague release their first choice Tomas Soucek.
