Rossi welcomes Commisso to Fiorentina

Giuseppe Rossi is “happy and proud that an Italian-American is becoming the new owner of Fiorentina,” as Rocco Commisso prepares the closing.

Billionaire Commisso is in Milan to negotiate the final details of the takeover from the Della Valle brothers, who move on after 17 years.

“It’s a great deal for Fiorentina. I am happy and proud that an Italian-American from my neck of the woods is becoming the new owner of Fiorentina,” Pepito Rossi told Firenzeviola.it.

Rossi: Montella ideal for Fiorentina

Giuseppe Rossi has praised Fiorentina for bringing back Vincenzo Montella, who is a ‘great’ Coach.

Montella recently returned to Fiorentina after Stefano Pioli handed in his resignation, and Rossi has only good memories of ‘Aeroplanino’, scoring 17 goals under him during the 2013-14 campaign.

“He’s a Coach who is prepared and able to take care of every little detail of the game,” the former Italy striker told Corriere dello Sport.

Rossi to Los Angeles FC?

Giuseppe Rossi is on his way to the US but reportedly for a trial with Los Angeles FC – not LA Galaxy.

It was reported late on Tuesday that Rossi was in advanced talks with Galaxy, but The Athletic claims he is destined for their city rivals instead.

The 32-year-old took to Instagram to show he was flying into the States, and the website explains he will initially go on trial with the MLS club.

Rossi close to LA Galaxy move

Giuseppe Rossi is reportedly in advanced talks for a move to MLS club the LA Galaxy.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since July 2018 and was training with Manchester United.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the New Jersey-born forward is on the verge of agreeing terms with the LA Galaxy.

Pepito Rossi’s career has been dominated by knee problems and he has struggled for consistency because of doubts over his fitness.

Spurs shoot down Rossi talk

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has ruled out making a move for ex-Fiorentina and Italy forward Giuseppe Rossi this month. 

Rossi had been mentioned as a possible solution to Tottenham’s striking crisis, which has stripped them of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, given the 31-year-old is currently a free agent and in England training with former club Manchester United.

Tottenham in for Rossi?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned to former Fiorentina and Italy star Giuseppe Rossi to ease their striking woes.

According to Tuttosport, Tottenham could offer Rossi a short-term, pay-as-you-play contract.

It comes as Harry Kane faces a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury and Son Heung-min is currently on Asian Cup duty with South Korea, while ex-Juventus hitman Fernando Llorente could return to Spain.

The Italian, for his part, is a free agent but training with old club Manchester United to maintain his fitness levels.

Giuseppe Rossi says being able to train with Manchester United again is ‘a real privilege’ and has brought him ‘so much joy’.

Rossi is back training with United, 12 years after leaving Old Trafford to join Villarreal, as he steps up his efforts to find a new club.

Giuseppe Rossi is reportedly returning to Old Trafford for training at the invitation of his former Manchester United teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 31-year-old has been in America recently working on his fitness levels after his Genoa contract expired.

He is looking for a new club during the January transfer window and Press Association Sport claims Pepito will train with Manchester United.

Rossi became good friends with Solskjaer during his time in Manchester from 2004 to 2007.

Rossi confirms Fiorentina talks

Giuseppe Rossi “would happily return to Fiorentina and we are in contact with the club,” confirmed agent Federico Pastorello.

The 31-year-old is currently out of contract after a brief spell at Genoa, but has recovered from his numerous knee injury problems.

“Rossi left his heart in Florence and would happily return,” Pastorello told Rai Sport.

“We are in contact with the club. He still feels like a top level player and Fiorentina would be a dream for him, as he’d return to a city that always embraced him.
