Happy birthday to Trapattoni

Giovanni Trapattoni won seven Scudetti during an illustrious career as coach, adding two Coppa Italia crowns and most of all the European Cup in 1984-85. Today the Italian legend turns 81.

The memories of Trapattoni’s time in Italian football brings us great joy to revisit, but he also picked up titles on the continent with Bayern Munich in Germany and Benfica in Portugal, with his latest title coming with Red Bull Salzburg in Austria in 2006-07.

Nela: 'Roma turned Haaland down'

Roma “were offered the chance to sign Erling Haaland for €4m two years ago and turned him down,” reveals director Sebino Nela.

Haaland shot to fame at RB Salzburg and earned a €20m plus numerous bonuses transfer to Borussia Dortmund in January.

He is shattering records this season, scoring 39 goals in 29 games for the two clubs, including 10 in just seven Champions League outings.

Dusseldorf in for Berisha

Lazio are reportedly negotiating a possible move for Valon Berisha to Fortuna Düsseldorf.

The 26-year-old Kosovo international could be heading for the exit doors at the Olimpico, as Tuttomercatoweb understands that the Biancocelesti have entered talks with the German side.

The midfielder’s contract with Lazio expires in June 2023 but could send the player on an initial loan deal with an option to buy this summer.

Rangnick: 'No Milan contact'

Former RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick denies reports he has been lined up as a future guru of Milan. “I’ve never had contact with them.”

The rumours have circulated for a few months in the Italian and German media, suggesting Rangnick would be given carte blanche to act as coach, director of sport and lead the transfer strategy.

“I have never had contact with Milan,” he told Calciomercato.it.

Report: New deal for Allan

Napoli are reportedly ready to sign a new €4m deal with Allan, tying him to the club until June 2024.

SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that the Brazilian midfielder is “one step away” from prolonging his stay at the San Paolo.

The contract extension starts at €4m but could increase due to bonuses over the next four seasons and will “not include a termination clause”.

Raiola: 'Utd spoke to Haaland more'

Agent Mino Raiola reveals Manchester United “spoke the most” with Erling Haaland, but the Juventus transfer target chose Borussia Dortmund.

OFFICIAL: Dortmund sign Haaland

Juventus target Erling Haaland has officially signed for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Juve were seemingly leading the race until the weekend, when it emerged they were struggling to agree personal terms with Haaland.

Now, Dortmund have announced the arrival of the 19-year-old, who has signed a contract until 2024.

No figures have been released, but Gazzetta dello Sport mentions the Germans have paid €45m, with €15m of that going to agent Mino Raiola.

Reports: Haaland picks Juve

RB Salzburg starlet Erling Braut Haaland has reportedly chosen a move to Juventus and should allegedly arrive in January.

Tuttosport reports that Milan have lost the battle to Juventus, but there are other clubs involved on the continent.

Braut Haaland has scored 28 goals in 22 games across all tournaments this season and his eight in the Champions League has brought him a lot of attention.

Leipzig: 'Juve after Haaland'

RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff has claimed that Juventus are one of several clubs interested in signing Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland.

Haaland is still only 19 but has scored 28 goals in just 22 games for RB Salzburg this season, including eight in six Champions League matches.

That has led to some of Europe’s biggest sides scrambling to secure the striker's signature, among them Juve.

“Yes, we met with him. We are interested in the player, [there is] great interest,” Mintzlaff told Sport1.
