Allegri: 'Juve not optimal yet'

Max Allegri warns Juventus aren’t at "optimal" level yet despite a perfect record and had tactical advice for Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi.

The Bianconeri swept Young Boys aside 3-0 this evening with a hat-trick from Dybala.

“We started well and took the earl lead, only really feeling the danger once and Wojciech Szczesny did well to push the forward wide when we were temporarily down to 10,” the Coach told JTV and Sky Sport Italia.

Ronaldo banned for one game

Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo will be available to face Manchester United, but has been given a one-game ban by UEFA.

The Ballon d’Or was sent off against Valencia in the Champions League, and an investigation was opened into his conduct, as is standard procedure.

The Bianconeri made no appeal, given how hard it would be to win one, so CR7 was always facing at least one match out.

Emotion the fuel for Ronaldo’s fire

Tears followed Cristiano Ronaldo’s first red card for Juventus, but Livio Caferoglu thinks it is a timely reminder of what drives on the No 7.

Ask almost anyone who watched Cristiano Ronaldo leave Mestalla in tears last week and they’ll tell you it was an utterly-absurd decision to send off the Juventus forward, given he barely pulled Jeison Murillo’s hair. However, not everyone felt that way. Barcelona-supporting Mundo Deportivo instead felt its former rival had it coming, explaining ‘after 20 identified aggressions wearing the Portugal and Real Madrid shirt, Ronaldo was sent off on his Champions League debut.’ It begs the question – is the No 7 emotionally fragile?

Ronaldo 'persecuted' by UEFA?

Spanish newspaper Marca claims Cristiano Ronaldo and his entourage feel “persecuted” by UEFA since joining Juventus.

The rapport with UEFA has been deteriorating rapidly since he left Real Madrid.

He didn’t turn up to the Champions League draw ceremony after learning he’d been snubbed for the Player of the Year award in favour of teammate Luka Modric.

Ronaldo was then sent off in his Champions League debut for Juventus, a 2-0 win over Valencia, for lightly tugging Jeison Murillo’s hair.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s biographer Guillem Balague believes the star will find the “unconditional and unanimous affection” he craves at Juventus.

The Ballon d’Or winner was distraught after the harsh red card in his Champions League opener against Valencia, bursting into tears.

However, the reaction from teammates, Coach, the fans and even President Andrea Agnelli – who tweeted an image of the others lifting a weeping Ronaldo off the ground with the caption: ‘One for all and all for one’ – seemingly surprised him.
