Gasperini: 'Atalanta deserved points'

Gian Piero Gasperini felt Atalanta “did more and deserved the victory” against Fiorentina, while thanking the Viola fans for their amusing banter.

The 2-1 result allows La Dea to break three points clear of Roma in fourth place, scoring 61 goals this season.

“These are three very important points, especially in an arena where Atalanta hadn’t won for 27 years and against a team in good shape,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Mihajlovic wizard of substitutions

Bologna assistant manager Emilio De Leo revealed why Sinisa Mihajlovic was initially not on the bench and his knack for substitutes against SPAL.

The Rossoblu fought back from an Andrea Petagna penalty to win the local derby 3-1 in Ferrara.

“We showed the right attitude to react and turn the situation around, as the lads immediately focused and realised what needed to be done,” said De Leo in his press conference.

De Leo: 'Verona like Atalanta'

Official: Barrow joins Bologna

Musa Barrow is officially a new Bologna player, completing his transfer from Atalanta with an unusual social media video.

The striker had his medical this week and has moved on an 18-month loan with obligation to buy for €13m plus another €6m in potential add-ons, to be activated in February 2021.

Bologna decided to unveil the 21-year-old Gambia international using a video of new teammates Riccardo Orsolini and Gabriele Corbo playing a videogame.

Barrow: 'Thank you Dea'

Musa Barrow wrote a farewell message to Atalanta and thanked the club for “helping me grow” ahead of a new chapter at Bologna.

The 21-year-old is set to swap clubs this winter and has been through a medical at the Renato Dall’Ara. The transfer is not official yet, but seems imminent after the Gambia international thanked the Dea on social media.

Bologna: 'Barrow and Ibanez deals done'

Bologna director of sport Walter Sabatini confirms they have “closed a deal with Atalanta for Roger Ibanez and Musa Barrow.”

The double swoop for the January transfer window brings much-needed reinforcements to the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“We have closed a deal with Atalanta for Ibanez. Tomorrow we’ll whittle down the personal terms with his agents,” Sabatini told reporters at an event today.

Bologna medical for Barrow

Atalanta striker Musa Barrow is reportedly set to have a medical with Bologna on Monday, completing a €15m transfer.

The Gambian forward had also been linked with Torino, but Bologna were tracking his progress for some time and could promise more minutes on the pitch.

According to Sportitalia, a medical has been booked for Monday morning.

The 21-year-old is a product of the prolific Atalanta youth academy and first joined them in 2016.

He has made seven first team appearances this season, but is yet to find the net.

Bologna agree €19m Barrow deal

Bologna have agreed a €19m fee with Atalanta for young striker Musa Barrow.

Sky Sport Italia reports Bologna will pay €13m up front, with €6m to follow in bonuses.

Barrow, for his part, will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract worth €500,000 a season.

The Gambian exploded on the scene towards the end of 2017-18 with three goals in six Serie A games.

However, he has managed just one more in his last 29 League appearances.

Barrow to Bologna deal close

Musa Barrow’s agent is meeting with Bologna director of sport Walter Sabatini to finalise the Gambian striker’s move to the Rossoblu.

Talks have been on-going for weeks over a deal. Torino had also shown interest in the youngster, however it seems that an agreement has been found between Atalanta and Bologna.

SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla states that today a meeting was held between Sabatini, sports lawyer Luigi Sorrentino and Barrow’s agent in order to iron out the details of the move.
