No Inter query for Banega

Spanish side Valencia insist that Inter haven't been in touch with them about a move for Ever Banega.

The midfielder has been strongly associated with the Nerazzurri in recent weeks, but the Liga outfit have denied such claims.

Inter make Banega bid

Serie A side Inter have reportedly made a €9m offer to Valencia for Ever Maximiliano David Banega.

The bid is understood to have been rejected by the Spanish club as too low, but the Italians are set to make an improved offer for the player.

Inter, who are reportedly close to netting Ricky Alvarez from Velez, are admirers of the 23-year-old.

Roma set Valencia friendly

Roma have announced a prestigious friendly test at Valencia's Mestalla Stadium on August 12.

The official Valencia website confirmed the date of this encounter, which will present the squad to its home fans.

Roma begin pre-season training at the Trigoria ground on July 13 for two days of fitness tests, then switch to the traditional camp of Riscone di Brunico until July 26.

The first official match for Luis Enrique on the Giallorossi bench is the Europa League play-off on August 18.

Italian interest in Banega

Valencia have revealed that two Italian clubs are keen on Ever Banega – but Napoli are not one of them.

"There is a lot of interest in Banega," Valencia sporting director Braulio Vazquez told Radio CRC.

"Two Italian clubs have asked us for information on him, but Napoli have not been in touch. An English side have contacted us too.

"However, Valencia don't want to sell him because he is one of the most important midfielders in the world."

Juve look at Man Utd duo

Juventus beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in Gary Neville's testimonial, but used the occasion to discuss Antonio Valencia and Rafael.

According to ‘The People' newspaper, the Bianconeri had transfer negotiations around their 2-1 victory earlier this week.

Director Beppe Marotta reportedly enquired after two United stars who could be of use in the new-look squad under Antonio Conte.

Brazilian full-back Rafael could arrive on loan, while Valencia would cost around £13m to tempt him towards Turin.

Roma chase Mathieu

Roma are planning a bid for Valencia full-back Jeremy Mathieu, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

A new era began at the club on Friday when Thomas Di Benedetto completed a €60m takeover.

His Roma are beginning to take shape with Walter Sabatini arriving as a director of sport.

Sabatini signed the likes of Javier Pastore and Josip Ilicic for Palermo.

La Gazzetta understands he is keen to bring in Mathieu to strengthen Roma's left-hand side.
