Everton track Kovacic

Reports from Croatia are linking Everton with a move for Inter playmaker Mateo Kovacic.

The 20-year-old has only recently signed a new contract, tying him to the Nerazzurri until 2019, and is considered one of the brightest prospects in Europe.

However, Sportske Novosti insists that English Premier League side Everton are preparing to tempt the Beneamata with a €20m bid.

Kovacic has five goals and one assist in his 24 Serie A games so far this season.

Mihajlovic: 'Eto'o lacked respect'

Sampdoria Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said Samuel Eto’o showed “a grave lack of respect” when storming out of training.

The striker only joined from Everton six days ago, but was infuriated by the cancellation of a day off, as Mihajlovic ordered a double training session today as punishment for their 5-1 defeat to Torino.

After the morning session, Eto’o left, apparently driving to Milan in order to see his family.

The Everton striker was in Rome on Saturday for the tests at the Villa Stuart clinic, which is also where he had his medical ahead of a move to Inter.
