Parma on Giovinco: 'We'll see...'

Parma director of sport Daniele Faggiano confessed they are thinking about the return to the Stadio Tardini of Sebastian Giovinco. “We’ll see…”

The 33-year-old had the best seasons of his career at Parma, on loan from Juventus from 2010 to 2012.

He is currently in Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal Riyadh, having left Toronto FC in January 2019.

When director of sport Faggiano was asked about a potential Giovinco signing on Sky Sport Italia, his response was a smirk.

“We’ll see…”

'Kulusevski, be more like Ilicic'

Parma boss Roberto D’Aversa says Dejan Kulusevski ‘reminds me of Pavel Nedved’ but also that the Juventus new boy needs to be more like Josip Ilicic.

Kulusevski signed for Juve in January but was loaned back to Parma for the rest of the season, and D’Aversa made it clear the Bianconeri had bagged themselves a gem.

“He’s a winner. And if you tease him, he gives it back: he reacts immediately, but always with education and in a positive way,” he told Tuttosport.

D'Aversa: 'Opponent kept changing'

Grassi: 'D'Aversa our strength'

Bonucci and D'Aversa among bans

Leonardo Bonucci, Luiz Felipe, Milan Badelj and Stefano Sturaro are among the players suspended for the Serie A Week 25 fixtures, along with Parma coach Roberto D’Aversa.

The Disciplinary Commission has given its verdicts ahead of this weekend’s games.

Florian Aye (Brescia), Milan Badelj (Fiorentina), Stefano Denswil (Bologna), Nicola Murru (Sampdoria) and Jerdy Schouten (Bologna) were all sent off last week and are given one-match bans.

Parma coach Roberto D’Aversa says his side are showing "great maturity" compared to last season, and that they never abandoned wantaway forward Gervinho.

The Gialloblu returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Sassuolo, and D’Aversa says they remain on course to meet their season objectives.

“In this moment we are an important position. In respect to the other sides we remain humble for our objectives,” said D’Aversa in his post-game press conference.

The Gialloblu went down to a goal from Felipe Caicedo, but it seemed D’Aversa’s side were denied a clear penalty.
