Official: Liverani new Parma coach

Parma have officially appointed Fabio Liverani as their new coach, with a two-year contract.

The tactician was fired by Lecce last week and has now put pen to paper on the deal to June 2022 with the Ducali.

He replaces Roberto D’Aversa, who was sacked by Parma because they did not see eye to eye on the strategy going forward.

Liverani’s coaching career began at Genoa, then went through Leyton Orient, Ternana and for three years Lecce.

Liverani for Parma, Genoa look to Maran

The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing, as while Parma should announce Fabio Liverani soon, Genoa are turning towards Rolando Maran.

Lecce started the trend by sacking Liverani last week, followed by Parma dismissing Roberto D’Aversa.

It is widely reported that Liverani will take over as the Parma coach over the next couple of days.

Lecce have already appointed Eugenio Corini on a three-year contract.

Lecce hire Corini, Liverani towards Parma

Eugenio Corini has arrived to take over as the new coach of Lecce, with Fabio Liverani heading to Parma, but Roberto D’Aversa is no longer certain for the Genoa job.

There is a managerial merry-go-round in action during pre-season, which will be shorter than usual due to the extended campaign.

Lecce fired Liverani earlier this week, despite the fact he took them to a double promotion from Serie C to the top flight, only narrowly missing out on safety.

D'Aversa-Genoa, Liverani-Parma

Parma are expected to terminate their contract with coach Roberto D’Aversa by mutual consent, so he can join Genoa, replaced by Fabio Liverani.

The decision has been brewing for several days, with an increasing lack of understanding or shared vision between D’Aversa and the club.

The natural course of action is therefore to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
