Commisso: 'Knock down the Stadio Franchi'

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso warns restructuring the Stadio Artemio Franchi won’t be enough. ‘We should tear it down, this isn’t the Colosseum.’

Ever since the Italian-American businessman took over the club last year, he has been pushing to either transform the current arena or be given permission to build a new one.

Commisso: 'Chiesa won't leave Italy'

Federico Chiesa ‘had offers from abroad, but he wants to stay in Italy,’ confirms Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso.

The attacking wide man turns 23 next month and was linked with clubs including Inter, Juventus, Milan, Manchester United, PSG, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid.

“I already said that if the right offer comes in, then Chiesa can leave,” Commisso told RAI Sport show 90 minuto.

“We have received offers from abroad, but nothing concrete, and he wants to stay in Italy.”

Fiorentina patron Rocco Commisso has not talked to Nikola Milenkovic about a potential move to Milan. ‘I want to keep him’.

The Viola patron has returned to Florence to take care of business and one of the rumours of the transfer market this summer, has included Milan and Milenkovic.

Reports in Italy have claimed agent Fali Ramadani works hard to bridge the gap between Milan and Fiorentina, who have reportedly set a €40m price tag for the centre-back.

Commisso: 'Viola target top half'

Fiorentina patron Rocco Commisso works to renew with German Pezzella and Nikola Milenkovic and aims for a top-half finish in 2020-21.

The patron has returned to Florence to deal with the team, the transfer market and the sports centre.

“I want to respect the rules for coronavirus, I haven’t been in Italy for seven months and I haven’t gone to restaurants,” he told the reporters this morning. “I have been back in the office for only three months.

Fiorentina retain Primavera Coppa Italia

Fiorentina have won their first trophy of the Rocco Commisso era, albeit at youth level, retaining the Primavera Coppa Italia.

The Viola teenagers beat Hellas Verona 1-0 in the Final this evening thanks to an Eduard Dutu header, consolidating their grip on the competition they had also won last season.

It was a great way for new Primavera coach Alberto Aquilani to begin his management career in Florence.

Commisso richest owner in Serie A

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso is the richest Serie A club owner, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, ahead of Zhang Jindong of Inter.

Bloomberg calculated the net worth of each billionaire in the world and found Carlos Slim to be the richest football club owner, in charge of Real Oviedo and worth $45.7bn.

He was followed by new Rennes owner Francois Pinault, worth $38.1bn, and Chelsea’s Roman Abramovich on $15.9bn.

Commisso is the richest Serie A owner and the seventh richest football club patron in the world, worth $9.05bn.
