Parma talks for Swiss international

Out-of-contract left-back Loris Benito has arrived in Italy to listen to a contract proposal from Parma, as he is set to leave BSC Young Boys at the end of the month.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, the Switzerland international available on a free transfer will meet with representatives of the Ducali today.

He will reportedly have to decide between joining the Gialloblu or heading to Ligue 1, as Girondins des Bordeaux have also put an offer on the table.

Official: Sousa signs for Bordeaux

Paulo Sousa is officially the new Coach of Ligue 1 side Girondins de Bordeaux, having been previously linked with the Roma job.

The Portuguese tactician put pen to paper today on a four-year contract.

“My vision of the role at Bordeaux, as with every club I have worked at, consists of creating and developing a philosophy of football and identity that reflect history and will last for the future,” he told the club website.

Sousa has coached in various countries and clubs, including Swansea, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Basel and Fiorentina.

Sousa skips Porto-Roma for Bordeaux

Paulo Sousa will reportedly no longer be in the stands for Roma’s Champions League match with Porto, as he is ready to sign for Bordeaux.

The Portuguese tactician was expected to attend at the Estadio Do Dragao, a somewhat incongruous presence considering he has been linked with the Roma job.

However, Tuttomercatoweb suggest this evening that Sousa has pulled out of attending the Champions League Round of 16 tie.

Sousa courted by Roma and Bordeaux

Paulo Sousa has reportedly flown to Bordeaux for a meeting with the Ligue 1 side, but Roma have him on stand-by after the derby defeat.

The Portuguese tactician has long been linked with the Roma bench, although such talk had calmed with recent good results from Eusebio Di Francesco.

Last night’s 3-0 Derby della Capitale defeat to arch rivals Lazio put everything back on the table, especially with next week’s decisive Champions League Round of 16 trip to FC Porto.

Bordeaux freeze out Karamoh

Inter-owned Yann Karamoh has been suspended by Girondins de Bordeaux due to “inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour that cannot be tolerated.”

It is not entirely clear what happened, but the 20-year-old winger could be returned to Inter a few months early.

Bordeaux signed Karamoh on loan in August, a year after the club picked him up from SM Caen for €6.5m.

So far this season, the Ivorian has put together 26 competitive appearances between Inter and Bordeaux, contributing three goals and three assists.

Fiorentina consider Eysseric offers

Fiorentina are considering offers from Nantes, Girondins de Bordeaux and PAOK for forward Valentin Eysseric.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the French attacking winger is already looking to move on, as he is increasingly falling out of favour in Florence.

He contributed one assist in eight Serie A appearances this season, but above all has played just 15 minutes since October 27.

The situation has prompted both parties to seek other proposals, with Nantes and Bordeaux allowing a return to France.
