Milan tell PSG to forget Theo Hernandez

Paris Saint-Germain will have to pay at least €50m to make Milan even think about selling Theo Hernandez, claim reports.

Leonardo has never hidden his interest in the former Real Madrid left-back, who cost €20m last summer, but multiple French sources have already stated that €30m was rejected.

Now Calciomercato.com suggest the absolute minimum sum required to even consider negotiating is €50m.

Theo still on Leonardo's wish list in Paris?

Paris Saint-Germain will, according to L’Equipe, not give up on bringing Milan left-back Theo Hernandez to the French capital.

The French newspaper claims that Juan Bernat could be sacrificed by sporting director Leonardo, who will have to pay at least €50m to prise the French defender away from Milan.

Bernat, who arrived from Bayern Munich in August 2018, has contributed five assists in his 18 Ligue 1 appearances this term and has helped Les Parisiens qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

PSG look at Theo Hernandez

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in a summer swoop for Milan full-back Theo Hernandez, according to reports in France.

The 22-year-old was signed from Real Madrid in July 2019 for €20m and has been a sensation so far, with six goals and two assists in 25 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

This kind of form has caught the eye of PSG director Leonardo, claim le10sport.

It’s rumoured the Rossoneri want to at least double their investment, so Theo Hernandez would not be available for under €40m.

'Theo can be one of the best'

Milan could have “one of the best left-backs in the world” on their hands, according to Theo Hernandez’s agent.

Hernandez joined Milan from Madrid last summer in a €20m deal and has instantly become a fans’ favourite at San Siro, scoring six goals in 25 appearances this summer.

“Theo arrived at Real Madrid very young and perhaps they lacked a little patience with him,” Manuel Garcia Quilon told Calciomercato.it.

Numbers favour Pioli to stay?

Milan coach Stefano Pioli will, according to Tuttosport, have the support of several players wanting him to stay at San Siro.

The Spanish winger Samu Castillejo claimed that the Rossoneri players “want Pioli to stay” in charge beyond the current campaign, after having seen improvement in both performances and results.

When Pioli replaced Marco Giampaolo after seven rounds, he signed a deal until June 2021 but reports regarding big changes at Milanello have sparked rumours also about the future of the head coach.

Juventus in Theo Hernandez hunt

Juventus and Premier League clubs are reportedly preparing a €45m offer for Theo Hernandez, but Milan have no intention of letting the left-back go.

The 22-year-old made a spectacular impact following his €20m move from Real Madrid in July, becoming their second top scorer with six goals and two assists in 25 competitive games.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his transfer value has doubled and Milan would be prepared to part with the French-Spanish talent after just one season for €40-50m.

Opta's best XI Serie A 2019-20

Six teams are represented in Opta’s best XI in Serie A 2019-20, with Milan left-back Theo Hernandez and Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz the only two outside the teams among the top four.

Juventus are the most represented club through their four players in the 4-2-3-1 formation based on Opta’s statistics during the first 26 rounds of Serie A 2019-20.

Cristiano Ronaldo is unsurprisingly on the side after his 21 goals in 22 games this term and Wojciech Szczesny is between the sticks in the top 11 this term.

Controversy overshadows Milan performance

Milan put in another strong performance only to be held by a combination of Juventus, the referee and their own needless behaviour, writes Vijay Rahaman.

Controversy ultimately shrouded yet another instalment of this classic rivalry in Italian football, as it seems Milan and Juventus cannot go head-to-head without some debate about refereeing. It is a pity to see the Rossoneri’s impressive performance pushed off the headlines by debate on officiating, but the signs of improvement are definitely there.
