Bernardeschi won't face Spurs

Federico Bernardeschi is highly unlikely to feature against Tottenham in the Champions League, as the Juventus striker’s knee injury is serious.

The former Fiorentina man limped off during last week’s 1-0 Serie A win over Torino with a sprained ankle.

Tests had been expected to ascertain ligament damage over the last few days, but the ankle was so swollen that the medics haven’t been able to use those instruments yet.

Napoli confirm Milic signing

Napoli have officially confirmed the signing of Croatian defender Hrvoje Milic, formerly of Fiorentina.

The 28-year-old left-back was released by Olympiakos in January, meaning he’s free to join another club outside of the transfer window.

Today the Partenopei have officially confirmed his signing with a short statement on their website.

Milic made 17 appearances for the Viola last season, before moving to Greece for a fee of €1.5m.

However, he played just four games in all competitions and was released on January 31.

Hagi: 'Corvino a dictator!'

Romania legend Gheorghe Hagi called Fiorentina director of sport Pantaleo Corvino “a worse dictator than General Ceausescu.”

His 19-year-old son, Ianis Hagi, had joined the Viola in 2016, but returned to FC Viitorul in January after failing to get playing time.

“The Viola directors lied to both me and Ianis. They had three offers when he returned to us in Romania and a great Coach had said my son could be compared to Francesco Totti,” Gheorghe Hagi told Digisport.ro.

Serie A Team of Week 25

As the top two continue to break away, but European and relegation battles hot up, Marcello Cossali-Francis picks his best XI from Week 25.

Emiliano Viviano (Sampdoria)

Had it not been for Viviano, Milan would have had more than just the one goal in this match. Made a brilliant penalty save from Ricardo Rodriguez down to his left, which ultimately kept the away side in the game. Could have done better perhaps for Milan’s goal, but more than made up for it with the rest of his performance.
