TV rights transform Serie A

Serie A is set to be transformed by the new TV rights deal and Juventus will be the biggest losers, writes Emmet Gates.

It looks as if 2018-19 really will be a game-changer in Serie A. Not only have they got four automatic places in the Champions League, they’ll also begin benefiting from the new TV rights deal that substantially shifts the power structure between big and mid-table clubs.

Pioli has 'regrets' in Bergamo

Stefano Pioli said Fiorentina have regrets after their 1-1 draw away to Atalanta. “We must improve our choices in attack.”

Milan Badelj had opened the scoring in Bergamo, but Andrea Petagna’s header equalised on the stroke of half-time.

“I am satisfied with the performance, as we never stopped attacking, even in the most difficult moments,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Gasperini: 'Atalanta could've won'

Gian Piero Gasperini felt Atalanta “went close to a winner” against Fiorentina and is looking forward to Borussia Dortmund.

Andrea Petagna got his first Serie A goal since September, cancelling out the Milan Badelj opener in Bergamo for a 1-1 draw.

“It was a good game against a strong opponent. We struggled at the start, as Fiorentina were pushing hard and we took a while to find the right shape,” Gasp told Sky Sport Italia.

Atalanta share spoils with Fiorentina

Andrea Petagna earned Atalanta a point against Fiorentina with his first Serie A goal since September, but Nikola Milenkovic saw red.
