Roma medical booked for Veretout

Jordan Veretout will have his Roma medical tomorrow after Fiorentina agreed a loan with obligation to buy for €17m plus €2m in bonuses.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Il Tempo and others, the two clubs worked out the final details this evening.

It’ll be a one-year loan at a cost of €1m, with obligation to buy at the end of the season for another €16m.

There are also another €2m in various add-ons and bonuses.

Vitor Hugo snubs Besiktas for Palmeiras

Vitor Hugo had been close to Besiktas, but now it’s reported the Fiorentina defender is heading back to Palmeiras for €5.5m.

The 28-year-old had made the move to Florence for €8m in the summer of 2017 and never quite flourished in the Viola jersey.

He had been in advanced talks for a transfer to Besiktas, but was unconvinced by the idea of playing in Turkey.

According to Sky Sport Italia, when an offer came in from his old club Palmeiras, it was an easy decision.

Llorente agent: 'Fiorentina a possibility'

Fernando Llorente’s agent confirmed “Fiorentina are certainly a possibility, but Lazio, Atalanta and Inter have also made an approach.”

The 34-year-old striker is a free agent after his contract with Tottenham Hotspur expired and it would be a return to Serie A, having scored 27 goals in 92 games for Juventus from 2013 to 2015.

“Fernando is a free agent and can sign for whoever he wants,” agent and brother Jesus Llorente told Calciomercato.com.

Sassuolo: 'Sell Lirola at right price'

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali confirms Fiorentina target Pol Lirola “wants to leave, but we need the right financial conditions.”

The full-back is a former Juventus youth team product who turns 22 next month and has been pin-pointed as the ideal reinforcement for Vincenzo Montella’s side.

“We have currently not had the chance to talk to Pol Lirola, because the player is still on vacation,” Sassuolo general manager Giovanni Carnevali told La Gazzetta di Modena.

Report: Fiorentina move for Llorente

Fiorentina have reportedly opened talks with Fernando Llorente over a possible free transfer for the ex-Juventus striker.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina are showing ‘strong interest’ in Llorente and the first contacts have already been made.

The 34-year-old is currently available on a free transfer after his Tottenham Hotspur contract expired, although he could be offered an extension by the Champions League finalists.

Vitor Hugo set for Besiktas

Fiorentina defender Vitor Hugo is set to make a €5.3m move to Turkish side Besiktas.

Firenze Viola, an offshoot of Tuttomercatoweb, reports Besiktas will pay €300,000 to take Vitor Hugo on loan and commit to a €5m option to buy.

The option includes €200,000 of bonuses – €100,000 after 25 appearances and another €100,000 if the Istanbul club qualify for the Champions League.

He is expected to earn a €1.5m salary during his season on loan.

Commisso enjoys Chiesa company

Rocco Commisso reiterated his wish to keep Federico Chiesa after the pair watched Fiorentina beat Guadalajara 2-1 in the International Champions Cup.

The Commisso era at Fiorentina got off to a winning start in the American city of Illinois thanks to goals from Giovanni Simeone and Riccardo Sottil, although Chiesa remained a substitute.

“They played very well, I thought we’d lose because these Mexicans can play,” the new owner told Firenzeviola.it.

Reports: Veretout to Roma done

Jordan Veretout is on the verge of joining Roma for €17m plus €2m in bonuses, as the Fiorentina man also agreed personal terms at €2.7m per year.

The midfielder had been a strong target for Napoli, Milan and Olympique Lyonnais, but Roma surged in front after the Rossoneri refused to increase their latest bid.

Multiple reports now state the Viola have accepted an offer of €17m plus €2m in add-ons.
