Demme-Castrovilli swap deal?

Napoli could, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, sacrifice Diego Demme to get Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli.

The newspaper claims President Aurelio De Laurentiis really admires Castrovilli and studies the possibilities to convince Fiorentina patron Rocco Commisso.

With Allan’s farewell this summer, Napoli are reportedly looking at Roma’s French midfielder Jordan Veretout too.

Istanbul Basaksehir target Dalbert

Inter wing-back Henrique Dalbert, who returned from his Fiorentina loan, is the subject of an offer from Istanbul Basaksehir.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the proposal is to sign him on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

Dalbert would also see his salary increased by the champions of Turkey, rising to €1.5m per season plus bonuses.

The left-back turns 27 next month and was purchased from Nice in 2017 for €21m, but never made an impact at Inter.

Fiorentina confident for Torreira

Fiorentina are reportedly ahead of Roma in the race for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira and confident of clinching a deal next week.

The Uruguay international was not even on the bench for Saturday’s Charity Shield win on penalties against Liverpool.

That was a further sign that coach Mikel Arteta does not see Torreira as part of his plans, so a return to Serie A seems likely after spells at Pescara and Sampdoria.

According to La Nazione newspaper, Fiorentina are confident they can secure the 24-year-old over the next few days.

Chiesa brace in Fiorentina family friendly

Fiorentina beat their own youth team 8-0 in a pre-season friendly, with Federico Chiesa bagging a brace and Sofyan Amrabat scoring on his debut.

Beppe Iachini’s men were up against the Primavera side, coached by Alberto Aquilani, who beat Hellas Verona earlier this week to win the Coppa Italia.

Dusan Vlahovic opened the scoring from a Riccardo Saponara cross, then hit the woodwork, while Chiesa tapped in a Christian Kouame assist.

Parma lead Vlahovic race

Parma and Hellas Verona are leading the race for Fiorentina centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic, according to Sportitalia.

The 20-year-old is heading out of Florence on loan, possibly also with an option to buy, so he can get more regular playing time and continue his development.

Verona are contenders, but Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains that Parma are the new favourites.

The Ducali are reported to be in talks with both Vlahovic’s entourage and Fiorentina to discuss their options.

Agent: 'Diawara wanted by Arsenal'

Amadou Diawara’s agent confirms he is ‘liked by many clubs in England, including Arsenal,’ so certainly won’t rule out leaving Roma in a swap with Lucas Torreira.

The 23-year-old midfielder arrived from Napoli for €21m last summer, but injuries and tactical issues saw him make only 30 competitive appearances.

“He is concentrated on his career,” agent Daniele Piraino told Tuttomercatoweb.

Arsenal send Torreira exit signal

Arsenal have left Lucas Torreira out of the squad for the Community Shield, pointing towards a Serie A move for Roma, Torino or Fiorentina.

Agent Pablo Bentancur told Calciomercato.com that “the coach and Arsenal must work out if they need Torreira or not.”

It seems as if he got his answer, because the Uruguay international was not even on the bench for today’s Community Shield match against Liverpool.

Fiorentina crash Lazio Muriqi talks

Lazio are on the verge of losing another player who had looked like a done deal, as Fiorentina intercept talks for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.

They seemed to have agreed terms weeks ago, but the days go by and a medical is no closer to happening.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and more, Fenerbahce have raised their asking price from €18m to €20m.

Part of that is due to Fiorentina intervening with a bid of their own, creating a bidding war.
