Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he advised brother and Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng to join Juventus.

Kevin-Prince returned to Serie A with Fiorentina over the summer, having spent the second half of last season at Barcelona.

Now, according to the 32-year-old, he could have been facing his younger sibling on Saturday.

“It would’ve been great to see him here, above all because it doesn’t look like he’ll play much for Bayern,” he told Bild.

Commissions cost €478.2m this summer

Over the summer of 2019, intermediaries in transfer dealings earned $529.3m in commissions, approximately €478.2m.

As calculated by Inside World Football using the FIFA TMS (transfer match system), agents and intermediaries have played an increasing role in the rising cost of football moves.

The 2019 figure has increased radically from the previous year and of that sum, 64.9 per cent was paid by the club making the purchase.

The statistics also showed that 47 per cent of the value “came from just 50 transfers.”

Boateng: Bought three cars in one day!

Fiorentina’s Kevin-Prince Boateng has expressed regret about the lack of professionalism he showed earlier in his career. “I bought three cars in one day.”

Boateng was arguably known more for his off-field antics than those on it as he struggled to settle down at the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth and Milan.

However, the 32-year-old has since reinvented himself as a striker, scoring goals for Las Palmas, Eintracht Frankfurt, Sassuolo and now Fiorentina.

Rejuvenation of Genoa

Football Italia Chief Correspondent Richard Hall believes Genoa have turned a corner and Aurelio Andreazzoli can revive this great club.

In years gone by, Genoa would not have been able to come back against Roma. In seasons past, they would not have been able to hold out to beat Fiorentina, but this team is different. With a new Coach, a good summer transfer window and a playing style that is impressive, albeit early in its evolution, there are reasons for the fans to be excited. There will be bumps along the way, but nobody betting on soccer would put them among the relegation candidates.
