Report: Besiktas make Zaza bid

Turkish side Besiktas have seen a bid for Torino striker Simone Zaza rejected, claims Tuttosport.

Zaza has been at Torino since the summer of 2018, when he arrived on loan with obligation to buy from Valencia.

However, the former Juventus man has fallen down the pecking order under Walter Mazzarri.

Now, Tuttosport reports Besiktas - known to be in the market for a new No 9 - have tabled an offer of €10m for Zaza.

Chiesa: 'Italy Euro 2020 contenders'

Federico Chiesa sees France and Portugal as the main rivals for Italy at Euro 2020 and described the importance of tactics for new Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini.

The Azzurri qualified with a 100 per cent record of 10 wins out of 10 and will face Turkey, Switzerland and Wales in the group stage of the tournament proper.

“I feel we are a very strong side, plus the coach Roberto Mancini taught us a lot in the last few years. He showed us how to play, keeping a lot of possession, a lot of intensity,” Chiesa told the official Fiorentina site.

Gremio: 'No Fiorentina swap'

Gremio have confirmed their interest in Fiorentina striker Pedro but ruled out a swap deal involving defender Walter Kannemann.

Fiorentina were reported to be keen on exchanging Pedro for Kannemann, given the Brazilian’s struggles to adapt to Italian football and their own frailties at the back.

However, Gremio President Romildo Bolzan told Correio do Povo: “Kannemann is a cornerstone of the team and won’t be leaving.

Faulty choices at Fiorentina

Fiorentina begin 2020 with another new coach, so as Vincenzo Montella makes way for Beppe Iachini, Adrian Carp asks if the Viola made the right decisions.

Fiorentina finally made a decision they probably should’ve already acknowledged over the summer and sacked Vincenzo Montella. Brazilian sides in for Pedro

Flamengo and Gremio have both reportedly joined the race to sign Fiorentina striker Pedro.

Globo Esporte reports Flamengo want to take Pedro on a year-long loan, similar to their deal for Inter forward Gabriel Barbosa.

It comes after a year that saw the Rubro-Negro crowned champions of South America - but not before splashing out on new players and a new coach.

However, the outlet adds they face competition from rivals Gremio, who could capitalise on Fiorentina’s interest in their defender Walter Kannemann.
