Isla: 'Gladly talk to Fiorentina'

Mauricio Isla could be coming back to Serie A for Fiorentina, confirmed the Fenerbahce man’s agent. “We’d be glad to talk.”

Now 31, the Chile international right-back spent time in Italy with Udinese, Juventus and most recently Cagliari before his free transfer to Turkey in 2017.

“Isla has another year on his contract with Fenerbahce, but interest from Fiorentina is certainly pleasing for him,” agent Alejandro Santisteban told haber3.com.

Clubs line up for Inglese

Napoli’s €25m rated striker Roberto Inglese is being chased by a host of clubs including Parma, Bologna, Fiorentina, Atalanta, Sassuolo, SPAL and Cagliari.

According to the website TuttoNapoli.net, the big striker is wanted by almost half of Serie A, after he scored nine times in 22 Serie A games while on loan with Parma last season.

Fiorentina agree Bennacer fee?

Fiorentina have reportedly agreed a fee with Empoli for Ismael Bennacer, having already been very close to the Algeria international in January.

According to le10sport in France, the midfielder is ready for the short journey from one Tuscan town to another.

It’s not the first time the Viola have been on the verge of signing Bennacer, as the midfielder was already on their radar several months ago.

Following some impressive African Cup of Nations performances for Algeria, it’s rumoured the two clubs agreed a transfer fee.

Aquilani announces retirement

Alberto Aquilani announced his retirement from professional football today, after spending the past season without a club.

The 34-year-old posted on Instagram that it was time for him to hang his boots up and take up a new challenge.

“After a period of reflection, I think the time has come to hang up my boots. I took the time to make my decision and despite the many proposals from other teams, I think it’s time to retire.

De Rossi makes Fiorentina U-turn?

Daniele De Rossi has reportedly made a dramatic U-turn over joining Fiorentina and could now retire.

Il Messaggero, Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia all reported De Rossi had accepted Fiorentina’s offer of a one-year contract, which included the option of a second season.

However, Il Tempo writes that ‘after a thousand hesitations’, the former Roma midfielder informed the Viola on Friday morning that he would not be signing for them.

Reports: De Rossi to Fiorentina

Speculation is mounting that former Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has chosen to join Fiorentina.

De Rossi was expected to wind his career down in Argentina or the US, but it was then reported last weekend that he had decided to stay in Italy.

Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla and Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nico Schira are now claiming the veteran has accepted an offer from Fiorentina.

Reports: Lafont to leave Fiorentina

Fiorentina will reportedly let Alban Lafont join Nantes and make Bartlomiej Dragowski their No 1 goalkeeper.

According to multiple sources, Lafont has agreed to return to France with Nantes, where he will replace ex-Fiorentina shot-stopper Ciprian Tatarusanu.

The only sticking point concerns the manner of his move, with Ouest France reporting he will sign for Les Canaris on a two-year loan.

Milan lead Veretout race?

Milan have reportedly moved to the front of the queue for Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout.

The Veretout saga is fast becoming one of the summer’s most drawn-out as he first appeared to be set for Napoli.

However, the Partenopei ended up keeping Allan, leaving Roma and Milan to battle it out.

The Frenchman’s agent has since met both clubs, and Gianluca Di Marzio claimed on Monday that the Giallorossi were likely to win the race.

Fiorentina interest 'pleases' Biglia agent

Lucas Biglia’s agent said the Milan midfielder is “pleased” about Fiorentina interest, possibly as part of an exchange with Jordan Veretout.

There are growing reports from various sources, including La Gazzetta dello Sport and SportItalia, that the Viola have approached 33-year-old Biglia for a reunion with ex-Rossoneri Coach Vincenzo Montella.

It was on Montella’s advice that Milan paid €20m to purchase the Argentina international from Lazio in 2017 and his contract is due to expire next summer.
