Official: Lirola and Boateng to Fiorentina

Fiorentina have officially signed both Kevin-Prince Boateng and Pol Lirola from Sassuolo.

The Ghana international has moved for €1m, while Lirola is on loan with obligation to buy.

It’s reported the Lirola deal is worth €12m plus another €4m in performance-related bonuses.

The Spanish right-back turns 22 later this month and spent time at the Espanyol and Juventus youth academies.

Nainggolan pushing for Cagliari

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan is reportedly pushing for a return to his old club Cagliari, despite an offer from Fiorentina.

The Belgium international has been frozen out by new Coach Antonio Conte and told to find another club, but is available on loan.

Sportitalia claim Cagliari made the breakthrough by agreeing to cover almost all of his €4.5m salary and a medical is due tomorrow.

Ounas & Simeone for Cagliari?

Cagliari are reportedly considering moves for Napoli winger Adam Ounas and Fiorentina striker Giovanni Simeone.

Cagliari pulled out of a deal for Roma forward Gregoire Defrel, and Gianluca Di Marzio claims they have already moved on to two new targets.

The first is Ounas, Di Marzio explaining the Sardinians could exploit their good relationship with Napoli after they recently signed Marko Rog from the Partenopei.

Lille are also interested in the 22-year-old, who impressed for Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Report: Nainggolan-Fiorentina next week

Fiorentina could complete the signing of Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan by next Tuesday, it is claimed.

Nainggolan was reportedly holding out for a return to Cagliari, despite Fiorentina having agreed a season-long loan with Inter.

However, Tuttomercatoweb expects the 31-year-old to become a Viola player after all as he is warming to the move.

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan reportedly prefers to re-join Cagliari, forcing Fiorentina to look towards RB Leipzig’s Diego Demme.

Fiorentina seemed to have leapfrogged Cagliari in the race for Nainggolan, agreeing a season-long loan for the Belgian.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport claims the 31-year-old is holding out for a return to Cagliari, where he played between 2010 and 2014.

With that in mind, the newspaper writes the Viola have moved quickly for defensive midfielder Demme.

Former Juventus and Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente is reportedly ready to join Fiorentina, as Giovanni Simeone is in Verona talks.

The Viola are revamping their squad with Kevin-Prince Boateng and Pol Lirola from Sassuolo, plus advanced talks with Inter to take Radja Nainggolan on loan.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, free agent Llorente has given the all-clear to join Fiorentina on a one-year contract with option for a second season.

He has Serie A experience with Juventus and has just been released at the end of his Spurs contract.

Despite Fiorentina denials, Sky Sport Italia claim they’ve agreed a loan deal with Inter and just need Radja Nainggolan to give the all-clear.

The midfielder has been frozen out of the squad along with Mauro Icardi, as he is not considered to be part of Coach Antonio Conte’s plans.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have agreed a loan deal and to split the Belgian’s salary for the 2019-20 season.

Fiorentina have denied that they are close to signing Radja Nainggolan but confirmed Pol Lirola’s arrival and reiterated Federico Chiesa is staying.

Rocco Commisso’s right-hand man Joe Barone gave an interview to TGR Rai Toscana on Wednesday evening, where he praised Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade for bringing in Lirola and Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo.

Official: Fiorentina sign Boateng

Fiorentina have officially signed attacker Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo on a permanent basis.

The deal was confirmed on Fiorentina’s official website, with the club paying €1m for Boateng, who has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

The 32-year-old is vastly experienced after spells with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Eintracht Frankfurt and Milan, winning a Scudetto and Supercoppa with the latter.
