Inter pick Carrasco, Milan go for Deulofeu

Inter are now leading the race for Yannick Carrasco, offering Antonio Candreva to Dalian Yifang, so Milan turn to Watford’s Gerard Deulofeu.

The Rossoneri had set their sights on Carrasco, who is eager for a return to Europe after his €30m transfer to China a year ago.

However, their city rivals have taken the upper hand over the last few days and Sky Sport Italia claim they could use Candreva as part of an exchange.

They no longer require the Italy veteran and he confirmed he’s looking elsewhere due to the lack of playing time.

Inter fight Milan for Carrasco

Milan face competition from city rivals Inter for Dalian Yifang star Yannick Carrasco, but only if Antonio Candreva leaves.

The Belgium international is eager for a return to Europe just a year after his massive €30m transfer to China.

According to Sportitalia, the Rossoneri have not yet decided whether to push forward and make a genuine proposal for Carrasco.

While they hesitate, Sky Sport Italia point out Inter are ready to dive in and intercept.

However, the Nerazzurri would only pursue Carrasco as a replacement for Candreva.

According to this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport, Carrasco is top of the Rossoneri shortlist for January.

Leonardo and Paolo Maldini hope to sign the 25-year-old on loan with an option to buy, as they can’t do an outright deal due to Financial Fair Play.
