FIGC hit out at League

Serie A turn down Prandelli

Cesare Prandelli’s plans for an in-depth preparation for Euro 2012 have been dealt a blow as the Italian League reject against his training session proposal.

Prandelli announced several months ago that in the months running up to the European Championships in Ukraine and Poland that he intended to hold several low-key training sessions with prospective members of the Italian national team.

Prandelli: 'Now Balotelli...'

Cesare Prandelli has told Mario Balotelli “now he needs to go from words to action” after he was dropped from the Italy squad.

The Manchester City striker was frozen out for the 1-0 friendly home defeat to the USA, as he broke the code of ethics by picking up a domestic ban for violent conduct.

Prandelli 'not worried'

Cesare Prandelli insists Italy “will certainly have a great Euro 2012” and is “not worried” after a shock 1-0 defeat to the USA.

“It was undeserved, but with this spirit we will certainly have a great Euro 2012,” said the Coach.

“I liked the way they tried to overcome every difficulty. Obviously playing once every three months is tricky.
