Traore brothers 'risk long bans'

Serie A brothers Hamed and Amad Traore reportedly risk long bans, amidst allegations they may have lied about the identity of their father.

La Repubblica reports how the prosecutor’s office in Parma investigated five Ivorians for ‘aiding illegal immigration’ into Italy.

One of them was a 45-year-old male named Hamed Mamadou Traore whom, it is alleged, Hamed Jr and Amad used to get into the country.

Another of those currently being investigated is an Atalanta employee by the name of Marina Edwige Carine Teher.

Corsi talks up Bennacer potential

Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer ‘has the quality to become a great player’, according to his former President at Empoli, Fabrizio Corsi.

The Algeria international arrived from Napoli last summer and has played 20 Serie A games for the Rossoneri this season.

His former chief has followed the progress at San Siro and praised the 22-year-old, claiming he ‘doesn’t understand’ how Empoli were relegated with him, Sassuolo duo Francesco Caputo and Hamed Junior Traore and Napoli defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the side.

Atalanta youth team winger Amad Traore has made history as the first player born in the year 2002 to score a Serie A goal.

The youngster only turned 17 in July and made his top flight debut as a substitute during today’s 7-1 victory over 10-man Udinese.

He completed the rout just six minutes after coming off the bench at the Gewiss Stadium.

Originally from the Ivory Coast, he is the younger brother of Sassuolo midfielder Hamed Junior Traore.

Sassuolo deny Juve synergy

Sassuolo have denied that a blatant synergy exists between them and Juventus, accusing the Press of spin.

Sassuolo have done plenty of business with Juve since their promotion to Serie A in 2014, and it was speculated there was already an agreement in place for Merih Demiral to join the Old Lady in January.

The same appears to be the case with Hamed Traore, but sporting director Giovanni Rossi was quick to stress how little had been made of his club’s dealings with Inter and Roma.

The 19-year-old was part of Empoli’s eye-catching midfield last season, scoring two goals and providing as many assists in 32 Serie A appearances.

Empoli: Juve have Traore deal

Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi has confirmed that Juventus are on the verge of signing midfielder Hamed Traore.

Traore had been close to signing for Fiorentina, but a change in ownership at the Artemio Franchi put that deal on the backburner.

He is now set to join Juve, although not for long as he is expected to be loaned to Sassuolo, in part exchange for defender Merih Demiral.

“We’re working to close the deal with Juve. Everything is set, we’re just missing the signatures now,” Corsi told Tuttomercatoweb.

It is widely reported Juve have clinched a swoop for the centre-back at a cost of €15m plus bonuses.

The idea initially was to leave him on loan at Sassuolo for a year, but his spectacular performances could prompt an earlier move.
