Soumaoro: 'I'll show Bologna my worth'

Bologna centre-back Adama Soumaoro vowed to ‘show my value on the pitch’ after his return to Serie A.

The 28-year-old arrived from LOSC Lille on loan with an option to buy on Sunday and the French defender has already experience in Italy after a stint on loan at Genoa last term.

“I played in Serie A last season and am happy to be in Bologna and to help the Club reach its objectives,” Soumaoro told the club’s official website.

“I have been able to speak with the Coach and he explained what he expects of me.

Soumaoro flies in for Bologna

Lille defender Adama Soumaoro has arrived in Italy for his medical with Bologna, completing the transfer on loan with option to buy.

The 28-year-old was pictured at the airport this afternoon by Sky Sport Italia and will have his tests tomorrow.

He is no stranger to Serie A, as Soumaoro was on loan at Genoa from January to August 2020.

The Frenchman made five appearances for Lille this season in all competition.

His versatility impressed Bologna, as Soumaoro can play as a centre-back, right-back or left-back.

Roma in talks for €15m Celik

Roma have begun talks with Lille to sign Zeki Celik, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The 23-year-old is contracted with the Ligue 1 giants until 2023. He has 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season and Lille’s asking price is €15m.

Roma have begun talks to sign the right-back in January.

The Turkey International has 18 appearances and two goals with his senior national team.

Torino back in for Krunic?

Torino reportedly consider making another attempt to sign Milan midfielder Rade Krunic in January.

Calciomercato.com claims the Granata are ready to return for the Bosnian, who was linked with Freiburg in Germany too.

Technical director Paolo Maldini reportedly asked for €8m over the summer, but the former Empoli star’s value might have decreased slightly over the last few months.

The report claims Milan are willing to listen to offers and Torino are hoping to reinforce their squad this winter, to help them climb away from relegation.

Leao legal battle with Sporting drags on

According to A Bola, Milan striker Rafael Leao’s assets were frozen in Portugal as part of Sporting CP’s legal action against the player.

The 21-year-old was able to leave Sporting as a free agent in the summer of 2018 after suing the club for just cause, following the invasion of around 50 masked hooligans into their training ground in May 2018.

The ultras attacked players and staff, prompting several members of the squad to unilaterally tear up their contracts.
