Pallotta: 'Garcia must know better'

Roma President James Pallotta warns Rudi Garcia about his tactical choices, but director Walter Sabatini backs the Coach.

Garcia: 'Roma unbalanced'

Rudi Garcia believes Roma “deserved a point” after their 3-2 defeat to BATE Borisov, but “we lacked balance.”

Questions will now be asked about the Coach, who has only three victories in 20 Champions League games during his career.

“Obviously we got the first half wrong. Perhaps we lacked balance, seeing as we conceded all the goals on the same flank,” Garcia told Mediaset Premium.

Garcia: 'Injuries a concern'

Rudi Garcia couldn’t entirely celebrate Roma’s 5-1 win over Carpi, as there were three new injuries.

“As I said after Sampdoria, if we play like this, then we will win many games,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We scored five goals and could’ve had more today. The only problem is that we had to make three substitutions due to injury, so we’ll see how much it costs us.

Contract shields Garcia from sack?

Rudi Garcia’s lucrative contract could reportedly ensure he isn’t sacked despite Roma’s poor start to the season.

It was reported yesterday that the Giallorossi are considering a swoop for Carlo Ancelotti if results in the next three matches against Carpi, BATE Borisov and Palermo don’t improve.

However, Il Messaggero writes today that the Frenchman’s sacking remains unlikely due to the high costs it would require from the capital club.

Ancelotti up for Roma bench?

There are reports Roma have contacted Carlo Ancelotti in case Rudi Garcia doesn’t improve Roma’s fortunes within three games.

The Giallorossi were being hailed a couple of weeks ago after a commanding 2-1 victory over Juventus and held Barcelona 1-1 in the Champions League.

However, the 2-2 draw with Sassuolo and 2-1 defeat at Sampdoria raised more question marks.

Bookmakers in Italy have slashed the odds on Garcia getting the sack before Christmas to 2.50.
