Maehle to replace Castagne?

Atalanta are reportedly returning to KRC Genk, as right-back Joakim Maehle is tipped to replace Timothy Castagne in Bergamo.

Castagne, who arrived from Genk in July 2017, has been linked with a move this summer and confirmed his wish to play in the Premier League.

Journalist Nicolò Schira claims the Orobici have returned to the 24-year-old’s former club to find his replacement, as 23-year-old Maehle has impressed for the Champions League side this term.

Ancelotti to meet ADL, Everton await

Carlo Ancelotti has landed in Italy to meet Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis and iron out his contract release ahead of taking the Everton job.

The former Juventus and Real Madrid coach was sacked by De Laurentiis following a 4-0 win over Racing Genk in the Champions League last week.

Ancelotti was replaced by Rino Gattuso, and has since been approached by Everton to take over after they sacked Marco Silva at the beginning of December.

Probable line-ups: Napoli-Genk

Carlo Ancelotti may move Fabian Ruiz to the left wing, in Lorenzo Insigne’s position, when Napoli play Racing Genk this evening.

With no injury to speak of, dropping Insigne would be a technical decision by coach Carlo Ancelotti.

To make up for Fabian out wide, Allan would be paired with Piotr Zielinski in the middile, while Arkadiusz Milik might get the opportunity to impress up front in Ancelotti’s preferred 4-4-2 formation.

'Genk will have fun at Napoli'

Hannes Wolf has warned that Racing Genk will “play in an attacking manner and have fun” against Carlo Ancelotti’s struggling Napoli.

Genk are bottom of Group E and have nothing to play for, but Wolf made it clear his side would enjoy their trip to the San Paolo, even if Napoli need a win to reach the Champions League last 16.

“We have to have fun, we will play in an attacking way, with courage,” the coach said at a press conference.

“We will have to be good in both halves of the field and we will try to win.

Gattuso's Napoli deal revealed?

Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly agreed an 18-month deal to replace Carlo Ancelotti, regardless of what Napoli do in the Champions League.

The Partenopei need a victory, or just a draw if results go their way, to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

The original thinking was that making it to the round of 16 would save Ancelotti’s job.

However, Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports Gattuso has already inked an 18-month contract, regardless of tomorrow’s result.
