'Elneny negotiates with Milan'

Milan are reportedly closing in on signing Arsenal player Mohamed Elneny, as his father has claimed the negotiations have reached "an advanced phase”.

The Egyptian midfielder has been on loan at Besiktas this term and it’s not the first we hear of a link with Milan.

During the summer, he supposedly proposed himself available for a move to the Giuseppe Meazza and now the player’s father has revealed that the Rossoneri are in talks with the former FC Basel player.

Milan not interested in Elneny

According to the latest reports in Italy, Mohamed Elneny offered his services to Milan, but the Rossoneri are unconvinced.

This is not the first time that Elneny has been linked with a move to San Siro, as over the summer he was once again believed to be proposing himself.

Calciomercato.com claim that Elneny and an intermediary suggested he would be an interesting option for the January transfer window.

However, Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban are believed to see the 27-year-old Egyptian rather low on the pecking order.

Roma ask Arsenal for Elneny

Roma have reportedly asked Arsenal if they can sign Egypt international Mohamed Elneny on loan with option to buy.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the 26-year-old is a new January transfer target with the door open to either confirm his purchase or let him return to London at the end of the season.

Elneny joined the Gunners from FC Basel in January 2016 at a cost of €12.5m, but made only eight competitive appearances this season.

Roma are seeking midfield reinforcements, as Daniele De Rossi and Steven Nzonzi are dealing with injury problems.
