Bonucci's tiny birthday cake

Leonardo Bonucci celebrated his birthday in the Juventus training camp today, but Merih Demiral was a little stingy with the cake.

The defender turned 34 today and was in the massage room when Demiral turned up to light the candle and present the cake.

As Bonucci noted on his Instagram Stories later, it wasn’t exactly a huge affair.

“Thanks Merih Demiral… will that be enough for everyone?”

Everton prepare Demiral bid

Having refused to part with Merih Demiral last summer, Juventus are reportedly now open to offers, with Everton first in line.

The Turkey international had already been linked with numerous Premier League clubs eight months ago, but Juve were not prepared to listen to any bids.

They paid €18m to sign the centre-back from Sassuolo in July 2019 and he only just turned 23 last month, so was considered a prospect for the future.

Four players Juve can offer in swap deal for Kean

Juventus reportedly want to re-sign their former striker Moise Kean and there are four players they can offer in a swap deal for the Italy international.

Kean is a product of Juventus' academy, but the Old Lady sold him to Everton for €30m in 2019.

The 21-year-old left Goodison Park after just one season to join PSG on a dry loan deal. Therefore, he is expected to return to Everton at the end of the season.

Demiral given COVID all-clear

Juventus defender Merih Demiral has recovered from COVID-19 and posted two negative swab tests.

The player had contracted COVID during international duty with Turkey last week.

A statement from the club confirms Demiral posted two negative tests, so has now recovered from the Coronavirus.

He is therefore no longer under isolation and can join the squad for training tomorrow morning.

It remains to be seen if he will be available for the game with Napoli, which is due to kick off on Wednesday at 17.45 UK time (16.45 GMT).

Juventus confirm Demiral tested positive for COVID

Juventus confirm Merih Demiral has returned to Turin and tested positive for COVID.

The Bianconeri didn’t release any official statement after reports in Italy claimed the Turkey international had caught COVID while on international duty.

Demiral has now returned to Turin and the Old Lady confirmed he’s tested positive for COVID.

“Merih Demiral, due to being tested positive for Covid-19 while on duty with the Turkish national team on 26 March 2021,” Juventus’ official statement reads.

Juve: Demiral positive for COVID

Juventus defender Merih Demiral has tested positive for COVID while on international duty with Turkey, Italian media claim.

The defender joined his national team despite being injured and Tuttosport reports he tested positive for COVID last week.

The Turin-based paper reports Demiral could return to Turin using a medical flight, similar to the one taken by Cristiano Ronaldo back in October, when the Portuguese star also caught COVID with his national team.

Demiral out for 20 days

Juventus have announced Merih Demiral will be ‘out for 20 days’ as he suffered a ‘low-grade muscle injury’ against FC Porto.

The Turkey international had a difficult evening against the Portuguese giants and towards the end of the match he suffered a muscle problem.

Juventus were back in training today but the club announced the defender will be out for the next 20 days.

Report: Liverpool bid for Demiral rejected

Juventus reportedly turned down an offer of up to €57m from Liverpool to sign defender Merih Demiral in the January transfer window.

According to Sport Mediaset, the proposal came towards the end of trading.

Liverpool are struggling with a series of injuries in their defence, including Virgil van Dijk, and have long been interested in Demiral.

The Turkey international has too only recently recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
