Experience isn't everything for Inter

Antonio Conte and Inter are so focused on experienced names, they risk losing sight of the youthful potential at their disposal, warns Richard Hall.

The message from Antonio Conte after dropping points against Bologna and Verona was always the same – Inter need more experienced players in their ranks. Gosens to Inter, Esposito to Atalanta?

Inter are reportedly targeting Atalanta wingback Robin Gosens for the left flank but may have to give up Sebastiano Esposito.

After their €45m deal for Real Madrid right-back Achraf Hakimi, Tuttosport claims Inter are in no mood to slow down and have prioritised Gosens for the opposite side.

Like Hakimi, the German has a knack for scoring goals with nine to his name so far this season.

The newspaper writes Atalanta will only sell for €25-30m but also that they have a strong rapport with their fellow Nerazzurri.

Report: Atalanta insist on Esposito

Atalanta are reportedly locked in talks with Inter as they look to agree a deal for striker Sebastiano Esposito.

Esposito continues to stall over a new contract with Inter, and Sky Sport Italia warns Atalanta are not giving up on the 17-year-old.

The Dea are described as the team showing the ‘most determination’ to sign him, with Gian Piero Gasperini a huge fan of his ability.

However, the broadcaster states Inter are fully aware of Esposito’s potential and - for that reason – would like to retain a first option on the player.
