Inter join Origi race

Inter have joined the race to sign Belgium international Divock Origi on loan from Liverpool, claim TMW.

The 22-year-old is on the market, as he was not even in the squad for two of the five games so far this season.

If they push for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar – who has been replaced by Keita Balde Diao tonight – then Origi will be moved on.

Olympique Marseille are said to be the favourites for Origi, followed by Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Sampdoria, Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen.

Napoli given Leno hope

Napoli have been given hope in their pursuit of Bernd Leno as Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper confirms he could leave for Italy.

Leno had been linked with Napoli earlier in the summer as doubts persisted over Pepe Reina’s future, and the German revealed a transfer to Serie A was “possible”, although he admitted the same was valid for moves to England and Spain.

“It’s possible that I’ll leave this summer,” he told Kicker.

“It would only be to one of the three top Leagues: England, Spain or Italy.”

Lulic: 'Lazio targeting Super Cup'

Senad Lulic warns Lazio are taking the Italian Super Cup match with Juventus very seriously after a 3-1 friendly win over Bayer Leverkusen.

This encounter is traditionally between the winners of the Coppa Italia and the Serie A Champions, but as Juve won both trophies, they’ll simply replay the Coppa Final from May.

“We are working well, both physically and tactically,” Lulic told Calciomercato.it ahead of the August 13 clash.

Lazio thump Bayer Leverkusen

Lazio earned an impressive 3-1 friendly victory over Bayer Leverkusen with a Ciro Immobile brace and Felipe Anderson on target.

Simone Inzaghi’s outfit hosted the Bundesliga side in their pre-season training camp at Grodig.

Immobile wasted a couple of huge early chances when he was sent clear by Felipe Anderson forcing defensive errors, but the Italian made up for it eventually.

He broke the deadlock on 19 minutes by skipping round Berndt Leno to deposit into an empty net after Alessandro Murgia had knocked down a Luis Alberto pass.

English clubs want Lemina

Everton and West Ham United are reportedly among the clubs looking at Mario Lemina, but Juventus may not sell.

The midfielder has spent the past two seasons with the Bianconeri, but it’s widely expected that he’ll move on this summer.

According to French website Footmercato, both the Toffees and the Hammers are monitoring Lemina closely, and would pay more than the €10m it cost the Old Lady to buy him outright last summer.
