Parma: 'Juve can block Kulusevski'

Parma director Daniele Faggiano warns the lack of clarity over contracts after June 30 could mean Juventus blocking Dejan Kulusevski from playing again this season.

If the 2019-20 campaign does resume, the fixtures won’t be completed until late July, and FIFA have not yet stabilised whether contracts that expire on June 30 can be automatically extended to cover that period.

It’s particularly tricky when it comes to loan deals, such as the one that allowed Parma to keep hold of Kulusevski even after Juve purchased him in January.

Asprilla: 'I'm worth €300m!'

Ex-Parma star Faustino Asprilla claims he would be worth €300m in today’s market and Duvan Zapata should leave Atalanta “if he wants to win something”.

Asprilla was considered one of the world’s best attackers in the early 1990s, winning silverware with Parma before a £6.7m move to Newcastle United in 1996.

That fee, however, pales in comparison to the €44m Juventus have invested in Dejan Kulusevski, despite the youngster having only half-a-season of top-level football behind him.

Sweden observe Kulusevski 'evolution'

Sweden manager Janne Andersson believes future Juventus player Dejan Kulusevski will shine in Serie A. “It’ll be very interesting to see his tactical evolution.”

Although he has only 26 Serie A appearances under his belt for Atalanta and Parma, 19-year-old Kulusevski has already earned his €35m plus bonuses move to Juventus.

“Dejan hasn’t been with us for long, but has already shown he has great potential,” Andersson told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Kulusevski pushes Bernardeschi out

Federico Bernardeschi will leave Juventus this summer, as he is replaced by Dejan Kulusevski, claims Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The former Fiorentina player had already been on the verge of an exit in January, with Milan interested.

He has dropped down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri, struggling to impress in several different roles.

The 26-year-old cost €40m from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017, while the Viola are also owed 10 per cent of any future move.

'Kulusevski, be more like Ilicic'

Parma boss Roberto D’Aversa says Dejan Kulusevski ‘reminds me of Pavel Nedved’ but also that the Juventus new boy needs to be more like Josip Ilicic.

Kulusevski signed for Juve in January but was loaned back to Parma for the rest of the season, and D’Aversa made it clear the Bianconeri had bagged themselves a gem.

“He’s a winner. And if you tease him, he gives it back: he reacts immediately, but always with education and in a positive way,” he told Tuttosport.

Kulusevski: 'Ilicic the best player I've played with'

Parma midfielder Dejan Kulusevski says Josip Ilicic is the “strongest” player he’s played alongside, and his idol growing up was Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard.

Kulusevski, who is set to join Juventus next season, gave an interview via Instagram with Gli Autogol and answered an array of questions about his life and career.

The Swede was asked how he spends his time in light of the countrywide lockdown in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“I read, cook and watch everything related to basketball,” said Kulusevski.

A Derby d'Italia for summer transfer targets?

Juve and Inter look set to battle it out for the same transfer targets this summer, after fighting it out for Dejan Kulusevski in January.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that both sides are preparing to compete for the same transfer targets once the season ends.

The two clubs battled to sign Atalanta’s on-loan midfielder Kulusevski, currently playing at Parma, in January.

The Bianconeri won that fight, with Kulusevski opting to join Juve in a €35m + bonuses deal.

New Kulusevski and Kucka injuries

Parma announced that Dejan Kulusevski and Juraj Kucka are expected to miss Sunday’s clash with Sassuolo due to injury.

The club released a statement on their website outlining the latest status of several first team players.

It is a blow for the Ducali, as Kulusevski had just made his comeback last week as a substitute and was expected to start.

“Simone Iacoponi remained at rest due to illness. Juraj Kucka suffered a slight strain to his left thigh in training yesterday and has already begun the appropriate treatment.

Kulusevski and Sepe injury scares

The Parma injury crisis is intensifying yet again, with Dejan Kulusevski and Luigi Sepe in doubt for the trip to Cagliari.

A statement from the club announced that Kulusevski has been diagnosed with a Grade I lesion to his left leg.

Goalkeeper Sepe will need further tests tomorrow after an issue in his left thigh was aggravated during Sunday’s 2-0 win over Udinese.

It’s a blow for coach Roberto D’Aversa, who is already without Roberto Inglese, Gervinho, Yann Karamoh and Antonino Barillà.
