Shaqiri: ‘Premier League world’s best’

Former Inter winger Xherdan Shaqiri believe’s he’s in “the best League in the world” after joining Stoke City.

The Swiss international joined the Nerazzurri from Bayern Munich in January, but lasted just six months before being sold to the Potters.

“It’s true that Stoke don’t yet have the same kind of international reputation [as Bayern and Inter],” Shaqiri admitted, speaking to FIFA’s official website.

Mancini gives transfer updates

Roberto Mancini discussed several Inter transfer stories, including Felipe Melo, Mateo Kovacic, Eder, Ivan Perisic and Juan Jesus.

The Coach spoke to Radio Deejay on Saturday morning and was open about the situation ahead of transfer deadline day.

“I don’t know if Eder will arrive. It seems like a difficult negotiation process, but we’ll see,” he said of the Sampdoria striker.

Inter’s chase for Ivan Perišić has seemingly gone on for the entire summer. Varun Mathure wonders if the Croatian is the right option for the Nerazzurri.

After the final day of the 2014-15 Serie A campaign, Inter Coach Roberto Mancini joked his side needed “eight to nine new players” to mount a serious challenge this season. While, most journalists in the room joined in on the laughter, Inter’s management knew that Mancini was only half-joking.

Inter were the first to act in Italy, as they wrapped up the signings of Jeison Murillo, Miranda and successfully managed to lure Geoffrey Kondogbia away from the red and black of the city. However, one name that kept eluding the Nerazzurri was Ivan Perišić.

Mancini: 'Inter didn't want Kovacic exit'

Roberto Mancini confirmed Inter are targeting the Scudetto, but “nobody wanted to sell Mateo Kovacic or Xherdan Shaqiri.”

Thohir: ‘Perisic to Inter possible’

Inter President Erick Thohir reveals it’s ‘possible’ Ivan Perisic will arrive, and explains the sale of Mateo Kovacic and Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Nerazzurri have sold Kovacic to Real Madrid, but are reportedly seeking to reinvest the funds in new attacking options, with the Wolfsburg winger top of Coach Roberto Mancini's wishlist.

“I think in the last few transfer windows we’ve brought in a lot of players, who we’ve spent a lot of money on,” Thohir said in a Detiksport discussion forum in Jakarta.

Inter sporting director confirms the Nerazzurri are still chasing Wolfsburg’s Ivan Perisic - ‘we’re working on it’.

Shaqiri: ‘Excited to join Stoke’

Xherdan Shaqiri is ‘incredibly excited’ about life at Stoke City, having completed a move from Inter.

The winger has signed for the Potters for a fee of €17m, having spent just over seven months at San Siro after joining from Bayern Munich in January.

Official: Stoke sign Shaqiri

Stoke City have officially confirmed the signing of Inter winger Xherdan Shaqiri for a club record €17m.

The Swiss international was at the Britannia Stadium for the weekend defeat to Liverpool, and has today been confirmed as a Potters player.

“Stoke City are delighted to announce the signing of Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter for a Club record fee of £12million,” an official statement confirmed.
