Official: Udinese sign Machis

Udinese have officially signed Venezuela international attacking winger Darwin Machis from Granada.

The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the Friulani.

He impressed during a trial period with the Serie A side.

“We saw Machis  in action during training and he had been on the Udinese radar for a while,” technical director Daniele Pradè told the club’s official website.

Inter sell Manaj to Albacete

Inter managed another sale, sending Albanian striker Rey Manaj to Albacete, but retaining a buy-back clause.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Spanish club.

However, Inter have an option to buy him back at a later date.

Manaj has been on Inter’s books since 2015, having loan spells at Cremonese, Pescara, Pisa and most recently Granada.

He returns to Spain now for Albacete.

Pozzo: ‘No truth in tax claims’

Gino Pozzo, son of Udinese owner Giampaolo, denies claims the family evaded tax in Italy and Spain to fund Watford.

It was reported in April 2016 that the family was under investigation for tax evasion, involving their three clubs Udinese, Granada and Watford.

Granada have since been sold by the Pozzos.

Murillo: 'Not happy at Inter'

Valencia defender Jeison Murillo revealed why he was determined to leave Inter, but his problems in Italy began from the start at Udinese.

The Colombia international was sold over the summer and seems considerably more at ease in La Liga.

“I received the call that I had been sold and was going to Italy. From one day to the next. I remember that when I returned home, my mother was crying. I was about to tell her, but she’d already been alerted. I couldn’t believe it,” the 25-year-old told Spanish newspaper As.

Ponce on way to Lille

Despite seeming close to Crotone, it now seems as if Roma-owned striker Ezequiel Ponce is heading to Lille.

The 20-year-old was signed from Newell’s Old Boys in the summer of 2015 and is fresh from a loan spell at Granada.

It had been reported Crotone were confident of taking the centre-forward on loan this season.

Instead, Sky Sport Italia claim Ponce is on the verge of a move to Ligue 1 side Lille.

It’d be a loan with option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Roma can loan Ponce to Crotone

Crotone are on the verge of signing striker Ezequiel Ponce on loan from Roma after his spell at Granada.

The 20-year-old Argentine was snapped up from Newell’s Old Boys in the summer of 2015 for €4.2m.

Ponce scored three goals and provided four assists for Roma in four UEFA Youth League games in 2015-16.

He was loaned out to gain experience in Spain, but managed just two goals and an assist in 25 Liga matches for Granada.

According to Sportitalia, Ponce will return to Serie A for a new loan spell at Crotone.

Official: Torino loan out Silva

Torino have loaned defender Gaston Silva to Granada, with no option or obligation to buy.

The Uruguayan centre-back made 12 appearances in Serie A last season, providing one assist and picking up three bookings.

“Torino Football Club announces that Gaston Silva has moved to Granada on a temporary basis with a dry loan,” the Granata confirmed in a statement on their official website.

“A salute to Gaston from all at Torino, in the hope you have a season full of satisfaction.”

Roma loan Ponce to Granada

Roma have loaned youngster Ezequiel Ponce to Spanish club Granada, it has been confirmed.

The 19-year-old arrived at Stadio Olimpico in 2015 but has yet to make a first team appearance for the Giallorossi.

As a result, he has been allowed to leave on a temporary basis in order to gain experience.

Ponce is originally from Argentina and began his career with Newell’s Old Boys.

Official: Udinese take Penaranda on loan

Udinese have taken Venezuelan international Adalberto Peñaranda on loan from Watford.

Both clubs are owned by the Pozzo family - which also owns Granada in Spain - and players are often shuttled between all three.

The 19-year-old initially signed for the Zebrette in June 2015, before being loaned to Granada for the first half of last season.

In February, the Hornets bought him, but he was loaned back to Spain for the remainder of the campaign and now he’ll move to Serie A once again.

Pozzo to sell Granada?
The Pozzo family are reportedly set to sell Spanish side Granada to Chinese investors, focusing on Udinese and Watford.
 
The group currently runs three clubs in three top European Leagues, despite buying Granada in 2009 when they were in the Spanish Third Division.
 
According to paper Ideal in Spain, Gino Pozzo completed the sale to Chinese group Desports in London yesterday.
 
It would bring €37m into the Pozzo family coffers and allow them to have the pick of Granada player
