OFFICIAL: Molina joins Udinese

Udinese have officially announced the arrival of Nahuel Molina Lucero on a free transfer from Boca Juniors.

The 22-year-old reached an agreement with the Friuli in January and left Boca Juniors when his contract expired.

The versatile Argentine normally operates at right-back and a right-winger, but can be used on the left when needed.

“Nahuel Molina is Udinese’s third reinforcement in this transfer window,” the club wrote in a statement.

“The Argentine joins the club on a contract until June 30, 2025.”

Napoli set sights on Nandez

Napoli are in negotiations with Cagliari to bring in Nahitan Nandez as part of an exchange deal with Adam Ounas going the other way.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the clubs are debating the value of the two players, as Napoli would prefer a straight swap, whereas the Sardinians demand a cash sum along with Ounas.

As for CalcioNapoli24.it, they maintain Cagliari have set a €36m price-tag on 24-year-old Uruguay international midfielder Nandez, which can be negotiated down.

Burdisso: 'Serie A the best league after the lockdown'

Former Inter and Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso doesn’t agree that Italian football lacks appeal. ‘After the lockdown, Serie A was the best League’.

The Boca Juniors sporting director spent nine years in Serie A and defended the image of Italian football, but admitted the infrastructure would help the League develop further.

“I disagree. After the lockdown, Serie A was undoubtedly the best League, different types of football have been seen,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

Cagliari move for Villa?

Cagliari are, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, preparing to make a move for Boca Juniors attacker Sebastian Villa this summer.

The Rossoblu coach Eusebio Di Francesco admires the 24-year-old Colombian winger, who can operate on both sides of the attack.

Villa moved to Boca Juniors in July 2018 and has contributed five goals and 11 assists in 58 games for the Xeneizes.

The newspaper claims the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement, as Di Francesco pushes the Casteddu to make a move.

De Rossi: 'I want to coach Boca'

Agent: 'Udinese dropped Rossi'

Udinese have abandoned their negotiations for Boca Juniors goalkeeper Agustin Rossi, confirms his agent. ‘The only proposal now is from France.’

The Friulani had seemed to do a deal for the shot-stopper, who turns 25 next month and spent this season on loan at Lanus.

“At this moment, the only proposal on the table now is from France,” agent Miguel Gonzalez told TuttoUdinese.net.

“I hope that over the next few days, it can be completed, because we are very close to an agreement.

'Perotti excited to join Boca'

Diego Perotti’s father claims the Roma winger would love to join Boca Juniors, calling it ‘my life’s dream’ to see them win the Copa Libertadores together.

Perotti was sent off less than half an hour into Roma’s 2-0 defeat to Udinese on Thursday, and Hugo was asked about the incident.

“It’s unusual to see football without fans,” he told Crack Deportivo.

“It doesn’t seem competitive to me and it doesn’t get me going, even if there have been some decent games.

Tevez donates salary to charity

Former Juventus star Carlos Tevez has vowed to donate the remaining six months of his Boca Juniors contract to charity.

Tevez’s deal was due to expire on June 30, but the 36-year-old is ready to stick with Boca for the time being, opting not to take a wage.

“I’ll stay with Boca, of course. I want another chance to play in the Copa Libertadores,” he told Radio la Red.

'De Rossi wanted to be Boca coach'

Ex-Roma defender Guillermo Burdisso has revealed how Daniele De Rossi wanted to become a coach for Boca Juniors after he hung up his boots.

Burdisso and De Rossi were Roma teammates during the 2010-11 campaign and faced off as rivals earlier this season, with Nicolas’ younger brother playing for Boca’s rivals Lanus.

The former Italy midfielder has since returned home and retired from football, but Guillermo reckons he had ‘more to give’ in the Argentine capital.
