'Immobile not right for Chelsea'

Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair claims Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is not right for the Blues and that ‘you get more opportunities in the Italian league’.

Immobile has been linked with a summer switch to Chelsea, who are on the lookout for a new No 9, but Sinclair believes the 30-year-old’s overall game is lacking in critical areas.

“Lazio is a big club with a massive reputation, so the fact that Immobile is scoring a lot of goals for them is something that I like,” he told GentingBet.

Premier League on indefinite hiatus

The Premier League has announced that the 2019-20 season ‘will only return when it is safe and appropriate to do so’.

The English top flight had initially hoped to resume on April 30 at the earliest, but that is no longer realistic due to the coronavirus pandemic not yet peaking in the UK.

This afternoon, it announced in a statement that the campaign had been placed on hiatus until ‘it is safe and appropriate’ to start up again.

Reina: 'I couldn't breathe'

Report: Roma ready to negotiate for Smalling

Roma are reportedly hoping to agree an affordable deal with Manchester United to keep the English centre-half Chris Smalling in the Italian capital.

The 30-year-old defender has been a revelation at the Olimpico and his performances at the Giallorossi allegedly made the Red Devils increase the asking price to €28m.

PL warns of 'difficult decisions'

The Premier League has warned that “difficult decisions will have to be taken” before normal service can resume in English football.

Professional football in England did not stop until March 13, two weeks after Serie A began postponing matches.

Now, the top flight has announced that – along with the EFL and PFA – “difficult decisions will have to be taken in order to mitigate the economic impact of the current suspension of professional football in England and agreed to work together to arrive at shared solutions.”

Report: Godin wanted at Spurs

Tottenham are reportedly interested in bringing Inter outcast Diego Godin to London this summer, as Jose Mourinho returns for the Uruguayan defender.
