Report: Domagoj Vida to Roma

Roma are reportedly in talks to sign Besiktas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, negotiations are ‘in progress’ to take Vida to Roma.

The Sky Sport Italia journalist writes the Giallorossi are keen on strengthening their backline this month and have moved for the 29-year-old.

The former Dynamo Kiev stopper only joined Besiktas last January but has been linked with multiple moves away since helping Croatia reach the 2018 World Cup Final.

Maradona: Hope Sala's pilot got lost...

Napoli and Argentina icon Diego Maradona says ‘I hope Emiliano Sala’s pilot got the wrong airport and that he’s found still alive.’

Sala has been missing since Tuesday morning after it emerged Cardiff City’s record signing was on a light aircraft when it lost contact with air traffic control near Alderney in the English Channel and disappeared off radar.

“I hope the pilot got the wrong airport and that he’s found still alive,” Maradona told Argentine journalist Martin Arevalo in a voice clip.

'Racism a fight with stupid people'

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri claims tackling racism is ‘a fight against stupid people’ after more allegations against his club and Kalidou Koulibaly’s ordeal.

Chelsea fans were allegedly heard chanting discriminatory remarks during Chelsea’s 2-1 win at Watford on Boxing Day, just weeks after they came under fire for similar behaviour in matches against Manchester City and Vidi.

The incident was then followed by Koulibaly being racially abused at San Siro, where Sarri’s former club Napoli lost 1-0 to Inter.

Russian interest in Gabbiadini

CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow have both reportedly joined the race to sign Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

According to Calciomercato.com, the two Russian clubs are ready to make ‘big sacrifices’ for Gabbiadini in January.

Fiorentina, Bologna and Sampdoria appeared to be leading the way for the 27-year-old, but the website notes Southampton are only considering a permanent sale.

Seedorf wants Premier League job

Former Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf admits he wants to work in England one day - “who doesn’t want to work in the Premier League?”

The Dutchman was one of the greatest players of his generation, winning the Champions League with the Rossoneri, Real Madrid and Ajax.

He was given his first job on the bench by Silvio Berlusconi, but he lasted just 22 games and has since had spells at Shenzen, Deportivo La Coruña and now the Cameroon national team.

Maurizio Sarri says he is loving life as Chelsea boss but believes ‘timing’ needs to improve in English football.

Sarri has taken Chelsea on an 18-match unbeaten run since opening his tenure with defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Ranieri promises 'Italian' Fulham

Claudio Ranieri has vowed to  bring an Italian edge to Fulham. “For us Italians, it is important to maintain a clean sheet.”

Ranieri’s arrival at Fulham comes just two years since he led Leicester City from the bottom of the Premier League to the first title in their history but also at a time when the Cottagers are leaking goals, with 31 conceded in their opening 12 games.

Gasp: ‘Didn't want Premier League’
