West Ham self-isolate staff in contact with Arteta

West Ham have confirmed that the personnel in direct contact with Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta are now in self-isolation.

Arsenal confirmed that their Spanish coach Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19 and later it was announced that Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi also had contracted the virus.

After the match against Arsenal at the weekend, The Hammers have confirmed that they have decided to take precautionary measures.

Boruc in self-isolation at Bournemouth

Bournemouth have confirmed that five of their employees, including goalkeeper Artur Boruc, are in self-isolation amid Coronavirus fear.

The club released a statement on their official website revealing another incident of the Coronavirus in the Premier League.

Everton are already in self-isolation after a first-team member reported symptoms related to the COVID-19 and both Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi have tested positive for the virus.

Ancelotti's Everton in self-isolation

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton have announced that the team are under self-isolation as a “precautionary measure” after a first-team member “reported symptoms consistent with Coronavirus”.

The Toffees have been put in self-isolation after a member of their first team squad had reported symptoms related to the Coronavirus, but there’s currently no certainty of positivity to COVID-19 within the team.

Hudson-Odoi has Coronavirus

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has tested positive for COVID-19, the second case in the Premier League after Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta.

The Blues released a statement on their official website, confirming that the 19-year-old has tested positive for the Coronavirus, meaning that the whole squad is in quarantine.

Tournaments all over the world are suspended in a variety of sports, but despite several players self-isolating due to Coronavirus symptoms, the Premier League will go ahead as normal.

Manchester City’s Benjamin Mendy is in self-isolation after a close family member staying at his home was rushed to hospital with respiratory problems.

Leicester City also announced they had three players self-isolating after suffering from Coronavirus-style symptoms.

Leagues ask to postpone Euro 2020?

UEFA insist nobody has asked them to postpone Euro 2020, but that is about to change, as it’s reported Serie A, the Bundesliga, Liga and Ligue 1 will propose a shift tomorrow.

The tournament is due to kick off in Rome on June 12, which would make it practically impossible for leagues to conclude their seasons in time with postponements caused by the Coronavirus outbreak.
